Invading Scotland
is most definitely a good idea, so I can tell
Arrived just a bit early at GLA (easyJet is one well oiled machine, I was out of the airport before the expected arrival on all three flights
), enjoyed the first bits of Glaswegian sun (and the sound of Glaswegians talking
) in front of the airport whilst waiting for
James to pick me up. Was taken on a wee tour by Blastmobile of Glasgow, got some drinks, settled in the
Blast Archive (which is most certainly the most impressive thing! all that music in there
), got a cup of tea, and got the music rolling after meeting Molly
Andrew joined in just a bit later, and we hit the patio to see how BlastBurgers get Built from the BBQ. What more does one need
Too much to mention when it comes to the record/video/cd/memorabilia/… collections, it's all just very WOW
Off to
Andrew's for the night it was then, I got some instructions on what I should see in Glasgow and walked most of it from there to the Armadillo, Kelvingrove the record shop at De Courcy's Arcade, back again, Art School, Station, Cathedral and god knows what else. Loved the place
As I commented before: If the weather was like that all year I could well live there
Shame it just isn't!
Had deep fried haggis for lunch (not too bad!), proper curry with Andrew for tea and the miniMeet just after with
smiscandlon joining in. (with cider and Tunnock's Teacakes, or [whoops, i did a racism]'s tits as we prefer to call them in Belgium
in a completely non racist way for that matter)
Great memories. Thanks guys
(again, pictures will follow)
