Oh and if anyone's had an email or text to the effect of "the police will be stopping people with large amounts of snow on their car roof and fine them £60" it's not true.
One of the parents 'informed' me of this, this morning. I gave them my best Paddington stare and told them it was tish.

The Mum has been driving me daft with that one, apparently it was on the news so it must be true.
I wear my snowhican with pride, it shows how individual I am.

Some scratters just knocked at the door. (Carol-singing no doubt.) As I was on the phone to my boss at the time I ignored them. So one of them tried to look through the letterbox, calling "coo-ee". So I yelled "just fúck off will you?" (with an aside of "sorry John" to the boss)
The reply was a volley of snowballs at the front door. Cúnts.

That seems to have been a vain hope - it's now been snowing very heavily for over an hour.
Like others on here my only thought is AAAAAARGH - MAKE IT STOP

I think we should all pray and give offerings to the snowgod, to send a whole helluva clump around Em's school, so the OfSted inspectors can't get there.

Tomorrow, from an early hour of the day, Mr Carpy shall be duelling with Mr Snowey Bastard via the medium of a long hill hike.
Yep, I've gone stir-crazy and really have to get back out in my walking boots so I'm thinking screw the snow - let's take it on head first with my usual 3 hour countryside hike. Might take longer and need the odd detour but that white stuff needs taking down a peg.
If you're all lucky I'll batter him into submission & you'll all have tropical sun by Monday

So I do. Accounts for a lot.
Avalanches are now tumbling from my roof. I fully expect the Milk Tray man to emerge from one of them.
