Firstly - festival itself: usual mass bedlam, lot of walking around the area, lot of sun, lot of people and very few interesting bands. That thingy The Darkness playing before Sisters I consider as the most stupid band I have ever seen, sorry if somebody here likes it....

And now the show: before Sisters lots of people went away, it was looming like very intimate thing with approximately same amount people on stage and under the stage, but then it became somehow a-little crowded, even though no mobs, really...

Girls were in good mood and trying to serve dutiful amount of enjoyment, and somehow they succeeded, as much as possible. But still too far from trance-ecstaty status like e.g. on Brussels II, who was there, probably knows what I'm talking about...

Setlist was good, pleasant, dynamic. But pampered people like me would like to be shocked with some Good-Things-like surprise, you know...

Sound was very clear, very powerful. The same I can say about 's voice, he was in no way watering-down, but really gushing lot of energy into the microphone. Also boys on guitars deserve some praise.

Exceptionals: few chatting between songs, very few muddles with lyrics (Alice and More, if I remember correctly), some more guitar wailings (before Dominion, I guess).

Regulars: Temple as the final stop. And that shining yellow t-shirt, of course

Over and over, very tiring trip, tiring waiting, but nice show - so that it was worth it. As always...

wow..thanks for the reviews...I would have passed out after 3 hours of waiting for sure butthen again I am such a pussy.

I also heard horror stories before so even when I live in HU I skipped this festival (2006). I am glad that all went well...at this point I would probably be disappointed if Von came out with a dark colored shirt:)

you know what, in fact thank YOU, because the moment they started to treat me seriously was not until I told them that I was the first but not the last person with this problem. I told them there was an entire legion of Sisters fans with Czech Sonisphere tickets in their hands, and that the train full of them was already in Bratislava, so they would arrive in an hour or two and there would be serious trouble to deal with them all. When they heard this, they suddenly became much more cooperative.

Yes, that sums it up pretty well.
Now a different thought I've just had. I'm probably not wrong to assume that the vast majority of the audience who saw the gig were totally accidental, probably seeing The Sisters for the first time (I wonder what they've been up to for the past 30 years but thank God this singer doesn't ask questions like this from the stage). It was a bit like this Geiselwind gig a few years ago: rather empty at the begining, more crowded as the gig proceeded. It's nice, and I think it's a good idea to play such festivals, always an opportunity to reach more people (apart from reaching few people deeper. )

Oh definitely! Those random festival people who came to see got an occasion to experience one of the really good Sisters gigs. On Heartland Forum fans may complain about an unsurprising setlist or no new T-shirts, but 90% of the audience probably had no idea what Heartland is, and what they saw was just top quality Sisters gig.

Did you know... long time ago I saw my first Sisters' gig @ Pukkelpop 2001. I knew them only by name through those dodgy shirts at the local club.

I was surprised by the fog, the Heino-look, the non-existence of a drummer, the weird atmosphere, the blackened windows backstage (a sign said 'NO PRESS' I remember).

It was cult. This cult element brought me to listen to some of their albums. But seeing them live this way kept me with the Sisters' gang. I wasn't hooked that mad if there was just another life band onstage playing few goth anthems.

It's all about machinery, man.

the wristband was also sticky on the morning after but I managed to remove it using a lighter and my teeth and it's gone now, so the topic can go too
