I'll go anywhere in the UK. If it's going to be Leeds, I'll get my organizing head on, find us pubs/venues/entertainment.

thanks boss! of course we need your blessing to do something like this.

we are going to have to plan this well without knowing when the sisters aren't playing so this will get interesting.

ems ~ what do you think? are the teachers school holidays the same as ours for next year? we have summer holidays from 20 July - 31 August 2012.

the only dates i've heard about for 2012 are the re-booked oz & nz dates which i gather are looking like february/march, and the amphi festival on 21st july

however, given that the july date is a festival, it's quite conceivable that there will be other festival dates over the summer announced, so if you're trying to plan something that involves people travelling i'd avoid then :|

fwiw, this is just one of the problems i had when planning HL meetups   people only have so much spare time & money to travel, and quite rightly most people put actually going to the gigs first :D

yes i can see what you are saying boss. the summer months would be the better months for festivals in europe & indeed there are so many people that would go to the gigs first and then put a meetup on hold.

if you look at it regarding people travelling, you know us mainlanders do our best to get to the island. so there will be travelling for us whichever way we look at it really.

now for those who would enjoy a meetup in 2012, we can all start saving now & for everyone to help out in as far as you would go to get it sorted.

:D

Correct you are. This far into the year and I only notice now that my calendar at work is not Gregorian?!

I could simply say that I figured HLers sometimes need extra time.

Whatever if it's two or three, don't think that's such a bad idea :D
