Thanks for the offers to contribute. If anyone would like to do so, just PM me and I'll give you the details. Thankee :)
Thank you everyone who made contributions for the flowers :notworthy: :notworthy: The cost is now covered (and nicely shared) so no more contributions are needed.

Don't read the forum much these days but very sad to hear this news. Only met James a few times but one included him ripping the p*ss out of a wee ned :)

Good to hear from you Bryan. Last time we spoke (a few years ago now) I think you were about to move away. If you're back in Glasgow, you're welcome to pop by the pub tomorrow.

So sad to see this news....Really terribly sad news. James was one of first people I chatted with here many moons ago and he made me feel at home... he even sported a Blast dish-washing liquid avatar I made him for a while. RIP big fella, I hope you find some big pillows to rest on.
xx

On Androos request for Megadeths 'Wake up Dead' in the hope that we could get it played in the bar (unfortunately they declined) I burnt some tunes to a CDr/USB Stick and added a few other tracks that he was very fond of.

There's a good deal of bands missing from the mix that he raved about, so I bet he's castigating me ("Ya Fud!") somewhere right now :D

that's wicked Andrew! and i'm sure the fact that it might take a brave man to wear such an ambiguous statement on the streets of Glasgae would have amused James no end.

Ah damn, mediafire's recognised the majority of them as copyrighted files :| Apart from the Ahrayeph and FGG tracks, I ripped the audio from Youtube.

"Now I'll have to be careful, as during the rehearsal, Molly heckled me... Over the weekend, when we received flowers for a James Blast I was very close to calling the florists and telling them they'd made a mistake. But I was quickly corrected. Some knew John even by a different name, for his love of music."

Cue giggles from the Heartland pews.

It was quite the ceremony. I was able to tell the coffin one last time that it contained a crabbit ault baistart, who should get bent. That helped.

Your good wishes were carried with us, Molly was very appreciative of the HL contingent.
Now let's never do this again. *clinky* :(
