Nah, way to dodgy, and not dark enough for you...
Unless you like to mingle with elderly women
Anyway, if you want more info about this group: Ask christophe, he's a huge fan of theirs

Just because we're British doesn't mean we're stupid
It would help if I could read their site though, what with it being in Dutch

Whilst loitering in the afternoon sun around the festival area of the gig we heard Adam soundchecking Emma with the bass. He played the opening few minutes which prompted us to think they might play it, but to no avail.
Cracking gig, we just loved the walk Adam and Chris did during Top Nite Out.
A bargin at 10 Euros even if we had to see Monza and Viva La Fete.
Matt.. back from Mera Luna

Some very good photos of De Lokerse Feesten can be found at:
http://www.cuttingedge.be/reports/festi ... /index.php
(look under "All Reviews" - 08/08/2005
Photo Report - Sisters Of Mercy)
Also a funny review:
First time, last time, always! "We are the Sisters of Meeeeeercyyyyyyyyyyy." Wees gerust, Lokeren zal jullie niet snel vergeten...

Hi everybody
This is one of my first posts in this forum
I went to Tilburg and Lokeren and enjoyed the shows very much
Great Sound (much better then Deinze in 2003),
Great Von (I like his new look),
Great people around me (except for that big german-lederhosen-like-i-wont-move-for-anybody-bastard next in front of me @ Lokeren
)
Thanx everyone for the nice pictures and links in this forum.
I really enjoyed watching those photos and getting back into the mood of those 2 evenings.
btw Ghostrider; nice Artwork!

Best outdoor gig this year imho! Band at their best, in a great mood, great music and Von's voice was ace too.
Heard part of the soundcheck on our way to the hotel, which was a nice starter.
It was great to see The Sisters on such a huge stage again, with so many people in the audience - great atmosphere - the band still deserves that much attention and they visibly enjoyed it (and so did we).
@ Obviousman & Christophe: Was great chatting with you two afterwards, and I'm still convinced that you, Christophe, tried to lure me away from the front row to get a better view on Vive La Fête....

What struck me about this show was the scale of it - big and bold and quite a contrast from the intimacy of Tilburg. As I was relatively late to start touring, I've only got bootlegs of early tours to go on but to me, this gig was reminiscent of the 91-93 shows. The current line-up works really well and the band came across as being very used to playing large venues. I particularly enjoyed Uptown Top Ranking although I'm still not sure if it was planned or not. I can't stand the original, but Eldritch has the uncanny ability to give me fond memories of a song I hate by covering the damn thing. This must be the strangest cover they've ever done and I like it! It wasn't repeated during the tour but I think it's the kind of joke that's best only told once. Anyway, I've been playing it a lot today and the neighbours probably hate me for it

had the same problem
had a perfect spot, just behind a group of "smaller" ppl, and than some wanna-be's started wurming their way just infront of us 15 minutes in the show, my m8 was so pissed of!
