Amazing, the power of The Sisters. One update. A couple of lines. 'Silver'...'Las Vegas'...generates no less than four pages of posts! Analyzing all known meanings of 'silver', 'bullet', 'Vegas'.

Yeah, get on with it, Sisters. Announce the annual mortgage gigs so we can get on with planning...

Blimey, just got a mail off Dominion, reminding me of the Lyrics to Motorhead's "Bite the Bullet". That just about wraps it up methinks, in every sense. :|

Merry bastard.

It's Christmas, remain positive, you've got the whole rest of the year to be pissed off by various things

We all will go to see them in February

People are over-analysing too much. Maybe you should be taking the words at face value?

If he was loving us long time with a silver bullet clenched between his teeth, I haven't noticed it. Normally this would be decent grounds upon which to pursue other lines of investigation, but this is :von:

Las Vegas when translated into English means The Valleys. Think about it people...

ok I don't doubt the in-knowledge all you people have - but I'm just wondering why they are writing USA next to it then, be it in white on a white (silver?) page?

This just came to Dominion - think it -sounds- very credible:

For what it's worth (which may not be much), I heard through a booking
contact that the Sisters were playing in Vegas mid February at a
location to be
determined; I have since heard (speculation?) from another contact that
it most
likely would be the HOB...

I heard (or rather read) this almost concurrently, but independently
from the
posting here.

I run a mid-size venue (500 cap.) in Austin, Texas that caters to the
hard
rock, industrial and yes, g*** crowd... (yes, in Texas) I only
mention that as
a reference for what I heard.

This may be BS I am hearing, but I am cautiously optimistic about
seeing them
again (last time was in '91 in Atlanta).

We will all wait and see...

John

silver bullet - lone ranger - solo gig

silver bullet - kills werewolves

bite the bullet - do something you don't really want to do.

love you long time - the utterance of an oriental prostitute, a lie in order to secure money.

Just a couple of thoughts that may mean nothing. He's a card, isn't he.

That was my first connotation too, but even after prolonged contemplation I couldn't make up a connection between TSOM and werewolves. (apart from the fact that Eldritch howls from time to time after sunset out of my cd player of course.)

public onsale january 13, 2006 @ 10am

Also checked out the homepage of The Warlocks. The date isn't listed but various bands who The Sisters have cited as an influence (Suicide, Velvet Undergound etc) are mentioned in their biography. Interesting huh? 8)

Tell me why I'm not as happy as North-American Sisters fans?

by Johnny M
Wouldn't that be the ultimate kick in the teeth to all the UK/European fans who've kept his pension fund topped up over the years? No disrespect to our Amerikan cousins but everyone is working for the Yankee dollar. Even Eldritch. Or so it may appear. Maybe the one-off 'fee' was too good to refuse? And he owes us nothing. :von:

Anyone else booked their Vegas plane ticket yet?

Or maybe it's the usual media bullsh!t and the gig is still at Vanbrugh?
