For bars, I suggest Cafe Molenpad on the Prinsengracht - if the weather permits you can sit outside. It's a 5-min walk from the Milky Way...
For Belgian beers, you can go to Golem, not too far from het Spui.
I'm really looking forward to this gig. Hope the Dutchies don't let us down. The crowd sucked big time when Skinny Puppy played last August.

Hello EH, I shall count you in no problem, but please don't come and start posting a few days before the gig as to where the meet up should be.
That's been decided already, you are welcome to come with suggestions to the after-party but don't start confusing people now please!
We are all looking forward to this gig! The Dutchies might all be hungover from the day before, hey maybe even the people that are then known as "tourists" are hungover?!? Now if we all show our appreciation and sing a happy birthday song to our dear
sisters, I'm sure the crowd will rock! I'll be the little lady partying her ass off.
Welcome to HL!

Hello Mrs Butterfly , I promise to behave.
I'll see if I can make it on time to de Zotte, otherwise I'll look for a pink lady in the moshpit. Sounds, ok?
Most important question: do they serve Westmalle Tripel at the Zotte?
Cheers

I plan to retire in Westmalle one day. Such a beautiful area.
Together with a couple of friends, I organized several pilgrimages to the abbey and the taverne across the street. My beloved Trappist....without a doubt the best in the world...You might spot me a gigs sometimes when I'm wearing my (self-made) Westmalle t-shirt.

Is it possible for anybody, to buy 3 tickets for three Germans that decided three days ago to go to Amsterdam. But there is no chance getting those tickets from Germany anymore. We'll be there very early (in the afternoon)

Starting to get butterflies....

Probably no sell out Jens. You should be able to get ticks at the doors. You have to get a membership card anyway....

Don't know man, the T-shirt is white. Don't want to be spotted that easily....
I'll see if I'm in time in Amsterdam to meet you lot at the Zotte. Otherwise at the gig...

Hi jenzi!
I've just phoned the Melkweg (0031 20 5318181) and there are about 100 tickets left, but going quickly the kind lady told me. If you reserve your tickets, the doors open at 16h00 and can be picked up at the door.
Hope this helps!

As posted on Dominion by Mandrake...
We just got back. Well..............umm..great sound, great show, but indeed
too much smoke...not a lot of interaction, and to be frank, crappy setlist and
way too short, considering it cost you 35 euros(whereas Gary Numan next week
will cost 20euro for example) Tilburg last year was way way better and longer.
We had our dinner at Jo's where most of the crew was eating and also Chris
Catalyst was eating. Nice bloke. Eldritch did pop in dressed in hooded jumper
looked at menu and went away...
Hello Eva, Paul, Donna and all I missed, did see but didnt realise who you
were.. ;>
After 3 years my girlfriend managed to get a setlist (as did you Paul in the
end I noticed yeah!)
So, was a great night out with friends, we had fun but as Sisters shows go not
my best, not their best. Only 75 mins as well. If this is the last tour or
indeed a party it was a crap party or a lame goodbye. Sorry. Setlist same as
last night. No Vision Thing, No When you don't, no Burn, just short, snappy
and goodbye.
Thank you and goodnight. Time to sleep. New cd? Never. Online mp3's? Unlikely.
The end of a Sisters Era. In my eyes, likely.
Mandrake-bit disappointed and a slight cheap aftertaste.
Crash And Burn
Ribbons
Doctor Jeep / Detonation Boulevard
Will I Dream ?
Flood I
We Are The Same, Susanne
Giving Ground
Summer
Dominion / Mother Russia
Slept
Alice
Anaconda
Romeo Down/ Neverland
This Corrossion
Something Fast
Lucretia My Reflection
Top Nite Out
Temple of Love

The gig wasn't bad at all.
For a lot of people this was probably one of the smallest Sisters crowds for a long time.
No support act.
The front rows consisted mainly of Belgians and Germans from what I heard. Oh, and some Dutchies as well.
There was a nice pogo on Ribbons, Alice, Anaconda, Top Nite Out and Temple. Otherwise, the crowd was decent to lame.
The number of posers in the frontcrowd was quite high, unfortunately. Some people, well, they really think they're quite something, don't they?
Liked AE's St-Pauli shirt.
Couldn't make it to the Zotte. Hope everyone enjoyed it.
So far for my short impressions. Too tired for more.
Cheerio,
EH
Amsterdam Gig

The Amsterdam gig was AMAZING!!!!
The only thing I could hear very well was the Bass Drum... everything else was well... a blurry thing? And o yeah, there was a bold guy with glasses on who appearantly was singing but forgot to put the mic on because NOBODY COULD HEAR HIM! (luckily the crowd in the front was singing along so every now and then I could figure out which song they were sort of playing).
And suddenly it struck me: there will never be a new CD, because for a new CD you need well, basicly, good songs! I didn't hear any good song because what I heard was just an idea for a song and then that was repeated for an hour
And there will be no live DVD because for a DVD you'll need a good show!
I'll never go to a SOM concert again (let's pray there never will be a next one), and that's a promise
GOODBYE

If you don't go to the show, you don't need to come here either.
