That's it! The lead character was Spider Jerusalem, and that was the last issue. At last, our long national nightmare is over!

In my defence I did think there might have been an overlap between fans of the Sisters and fans of a comic featuring a bald lead flanked by a changing cast of assistants and given to clever but cynical quips. Can't think why.

Given that I can claim zero credit for having been told the answer, but having technically 'won', here's a zero effort one for whoever fancies a go next. From one of the best games I've ever played ...
