Aw, I'm only joshing with you Si, in that light-hearted way us Glaswegians generally do before putting the heid in   .

Main gripes:
1) Sh!teness of "music" selection, which as I recall included the very worst of what passes for "punk" these days - Green Day, Blink 182 and so on, and also the dross skimmed from the surface of nu-metal frat rock - Alien Ant Farm, Limp Sh!tkit und so weiter und so weiter...
2) Despite having enough vodka in the house to inapacitate the KGB, could they do me a Bloody Mary? Could they buggery.
3) General air of trendiness left this crimped haired pasty faced throwback feeling a little uneasy  .

However this cornucopia of minor annoyances was more than cancelled out by the fine company :D

I seemed to recall hearing them doing a soundcheck in Leipzig this year, now that you come to mention it.

Re: 1. all because it's near the Garage so a lot of students go to Stavka 1st before they go clubbing. The DJ's probably a young EMO instead of a cultured old fart like the rest of us

Re: 2. see 1 - bloody students!

Re: 3. You didn't like the faux soviet decor? Admittedly it's been trendified a lot over the last year, most of the prop's have disappeared, including the cossack music in the bathroom's :(

I promise you WestBeer is the dog's danglies  ;D

Let's Rock!

I thank you.

@Si, you're quite right, the Soviet decor was smashing...

@James - I would never deny you the right to puff away on your sticks of doom in good company. In fact it's pretty much the sight of your downcast face  , before you had to go outside to the busstop on the night of the Sisters gig which has turned me completely against the smoking ban. FACT!!!

Next time I vote for bad cider and "tonic wines" in the Necropolis. Goth neddery at it's finest.
