think they will still sell good.. as said before, without any promotion..
where i work, in Brussels they sold out in 3 days.. and unable to get more in stock...
so i think the box will sell good aswell..
bad marketing though.. with the holidays now would have been better to release em now.. for more lucrative sales.. especially since it's just : "take the 3 cd's, put em in a box, seal em.."
that don't take 3 months imo :p

They must have an archive the size of Nebraska stuffed with unreleased sissies-thingies in their basement, no?
How come no HLer works there so he/she can puzzle a decent compilation of goodies ... (any amateurs?)

Von sold Merciful and the rights to most Sisters material in the mid 90s.

I'm fairly certain (in an off-the-top-off-my-head way) that he didn't sell the rights to the name Merciful Release (which remains his record company), but just the rights to the recordings of the pre-WEA material recorded between 81 and 83. And obviously WEA already had the rights to the material from 84 to when the Sisters left WEA. But not the Merciful Release name.

But if it's an integral part of the artwork for stuff released while he was on Warners (which it is), it would seem obvious that Warners would be free to use it themselves. A lot depends on the contract, and if the contract stipulates that they can use, re-use or sublicense the artwork (or elements thereof and/or pertaining to), then there should be no issues with them doing so.

Yeah, I think you're right about the artwork.

If I could, I would !!
I'm just so tempted by the words "faux snakeskin" that I may end up sourcing a cheap copy of the box too.
I'm so easily led
