I allas (and still find) that utterance from the evil old bat to be a complete and utter lie, society existed then and it still exists now, or did I miss the whole point in the first place?

He wasn't a fan, that much I do know.

Absolutely. I know it all too well. If not for my mother, I'd probably have ended up institutionalized or dead.markfiend wrote:That's one of the major roots of today's problems right there. You keep telling people that they're worthless, and sooner or later they'll start to believe you.

"...Many of you will have heard about the tragic death of Sophie Lancaster,
beaten to death for being different, no need to go into the details here,
it's time to look forward and do something positive.
If you are heading to the Whitby Goth Weekend this October please take time
out to visit the info stall in the Spa foyer where small ribbon roses will
be sold to be worn in her memory, and donations accepted to help pay for a
memorial bench and plaque to be installed. This bench is going to be placed
near the Royal Hotel, close to the whalebones for those of you that know
the town, looking out to sea.
If you cannot get to Whitby this October and still wish to donate then you
can, or maybe you could convince your local club to hold a small
collection. 100% of any money raised will be going to the bench fund, since
the roses were paid for by a collection last month at InsanitoriuM. Please
contact me if you have any questions.
This bench will cost in the region of £1600, but we hope to raise much more
than that, and any funds left over will be used in reforestation schemes in
the UK to plant trees in her memory.
Please repost this, directing people to me if they need to know more.
Thanks..."
