Yep, not a classic, but a unique show that I wouldnae have missed for the world. Great to see everyone who made it.
My favourite band, my favourite city, and my first sober Sisters gig was a strange but pleasing mix.
Brilliant lightshow and a corking Something Fast made my evening, along with a little needed excuse to spend a random week in Beirut. Flying home in about three hours, which is making me miserable...Brixton here I come...

THE biggest Sisters poster in history (surely) by the venue in Beirut

Not judging by the turnout. I think "Hey; let's put a great big frigging poster 20ft from the venue" may be a tad simplistic

Well, he got

I'm about to conclude they're all idiots.

In all fairness, it is on the main road North out of Beirut, and they always use it for upcoming shows.
They arranged a full day on MTV Lebanon, flyposted, and flyered everywhere, and several radio shows ran comps etc.
There just wasn't enough interest to fill the great big shed they were playing in, there's no real mid-sized venues in Beirut, just bar-sized things or warehouse sized doobries.
Next time they should play Byblos like Patti Smith did last year, or elbow into the Beit Eddeine festival, both outdoors in stunning settings.
