Ohh I think it's great! 8)

But guess it would've done better as an encore... like between Jolene and Sister Ray or something. :innocent:

Paul, you're very welcome :-)

Next one: Pipeline. Video is from yesterday's gig, but as the audio is helplessly overdubbed, I've taken the sound from Leeds 16.02.2011 instead.

Put all ingredients into Final Cut Express, play with it for about twenty minutes, and share it ;-)

Impressions:

Ace. What a great show. "Kiss The Carpet" - best opener ever. Sound was a bit quiet though, and I've seen much more dry ice on past gigs ;-) Somewhere during the gig, a note was given out to the front row, saying something like "Sorry, this is as narrow as it can be", signed by "Liz", handed out by Eldritch. Generated a certain buzz, some people seemed more concerned with its content after the gig than the gig itself.

Cheers! :-)

and so I am awake. oh wow...what a great f**king show! the first two songs we've had trouble hearing :von: but they figured it all out and the rest was amazing. We decided to not stay in the front now, wanted to see the whole pic, we've had a perfect spot but then again 013 is a good venue so it's not too hard to do that.

honestly I was expecting a lot less people and it was very crowded. after the first couple of songs the crowd was getting into it very much too so it was great to see.

I am so glad we went I was quite nervous about it, I hoped they would be able to deliver after the 2nd Brussels night.

It was also nice to finally meet some HLers, although I wish we actually had time to talk a bit more to get to know each other but hey.

In any case I found out yesterday that I don't have to work today, thank god, will get some rest today and see you in BP tomorrow.

I thought I'd wait until after the show to post my first comment on this forum. Didn't have high expectations having seen them in Amsterdam some years ago, and that was rather disappointing. But yesterday's show was f***ing great! Von's howling highs were breathtaking. Never heard such a great performance of Ribbons. For me that was one of the peaks in yesterday's performance. Too bad there was no dj-set as was promised. Saw Chris at the merchandise though, I'm glad I could thank him for a top show! Have some footage of the show, don't know if it's worth uploading, I will first check the quality.

Liz? Who is Liz? What is the concern about its content?

If Tilburg 2005 was 8 out of 10, Paradiso / Amsterdam in 2009 was 6 out of 10, this time it was 9 out of 10.

After all it was like brutal chrome robots got licked by a post-fascist android.

You do the math.

That's what i was thinking; A note? Like... a piece of paper? what do you mean with 'narrow'...?

Is it a line from a Philip K Dick novel?

This note was just a note. I couldn't put any sense to it, and I quite frankly didn't care because I had a show to watch ;-)

Hi, here's the video I shot from Ribbons, very very very haunting performance by Andrew, one of the highlights of yesterday's show if you ask me. Video quality is not great, audio is even worse, but still the brilliance of the performance shines through:

perhaps not as spectacular as the 2nd Brussels date (the lack of enthusiasm on part of the crowd might have something to do with it), but still a great gig and i enjoyed every last minute of it :D :notworthy:

the Bowie cover was the highlight for me, no contest. absolutely loved it ;D

and as for the delightful company, you guys rock! :notworthy:

A wonderful concert for me ...

There was so much in it, I can't remember everything ad hoc ...
Apart from the fact, that I spend quite some time talking to myself again,
I guess ... this however effectively ... so utmost yield, and way beyond my expectations, to put it in dry words.

Highlights:
Everything - the choice of songs, their order, the way they were performed ... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Flood I
Flood II ... I can only say thanks as well, and I'm not being cynical here ... great performance ...
John, I'm Only Dancing
Doctor Jeep/Detonation Boulevard
More ... hell, how do they manage ...
First And Last And Always
Pipeline ... I love it already better than Top Nite Out, also the title ... (My personal side-lines? Stuck. ... :( ... Anybody got some anti-clogging device?)

Btw, AFAIK, Liz is the girl who does the lights for The Sisters. And since
I stood not in the front row but somewhere up the stairs around the sound,
I could see that a hell lot of light was directed from the stage onto the audience
as compared to the other way round. This could in fact have had some disturbing
and blinding effects for the people in the front row ...

So they might have found it appropriate to apologize ... I imagine ... ...

hihi ... don't know. I was wearing a white Sisters Burn-Out shirt ... screaming and,
well yes, shouting ... as loud as hardly noticing anyone around most of the time ...  ...
