Whose childish idea was it on this website to block out the word 'm*****n' anyway? Is that supposed to show 'solidarity' with Herr Eldritch, Herr Administrator?

I also like the idea to hold a big banner with the writing "TWO FIVE ZERO ZERO ZERO" in the upcoming concert of m****n in Athens

Do that! But expect to be thrown from venue.

I agree.
Prior to the issue of the guest list, on the few times they'd met Wayne and
had got on well. On that day maybe there was a misunderstanding but whatever the reason Wayne was upset by it. But that's between the two of them, not fans of each band.
On here people seem to think it makes themselves bigger fans of the Sisters if they slag off Wayne. On the m*****n forum they slag off the Sisters thinking it makes themselves bigger m*****n fans. It's just pathetic.
Usually its people who got into the Sisters post-1985 so never saw Wayne play with them or felt the excitement of hearing FALAA when it first came out. For me it was a great time and i'm grateful to all four of the people who were in the band at that time.

Agree with you there Mav787... for the most part.
I got into the Sisters post-85 (just). It was after the Mis-sion were on the Tube and a mate said to me "you think they're good, listen to the band Wayne and Craig were in before!" So for me, the excitement of FALAA was a bit after-the-fact.
Call it nostalgia if you like, but the fact remains that for a hell of a lot of people, the Classic Sisters line-up is Andrew-Gary-Craig-Wayne. I can see why Eldritch might be tired of trying to live up to a line-up that lasted less than two years and disintegrated 25 years ago, but there's something to be said for that mid-80s jangly-guitar sound as opposed to the heads-down balls-out power-chord thrash that you get these days.
I don't really know where I'm going with this, I had three pints with my lunch and it's all got a bit tricky.

Seconded
Dont take everything so bloody serious, people! Don't you guys run in different gears like everyone else? Like a serious gear for the important questions of life, and a light-hearted gear for when one chats about music and amusing things?
Just imagine if people here were as sissy about how some continue to offend and belittle Andrew Eldritch. Everyone would be offended day and night.
edit: PS -
markfiend I agree about the guitar sound

No,
Mav787 &
Markfiend, I don't. I see it just the way I see it. And situations as happened there ...
... are not just a nasty joke or so ...
Of course, it's nice they got to saying Hi and somewhat shake hands at some occasion or other, but as I said before, trust is another thing and can only be restored with time and if people change their behaviour towards each other (with plenty failures and backlashes underway), so what ...
Wayne now starting again with proclaiming how s**t the Sisters were ... sorry, but from the above point of view, he's well off mark ... and if he goes on like this, he'll give us nothing but another taste of what he did - how long? - more than 25 years ago. And what for?
markfiend wrote:

...
... Don't say they're s**t!!! ...
...
No, honestly, Wayne's guitars on FALAA are just great, a present and a gift ... and with these guitars he was able to get the best out of Andrew singing ... with Amphetamine Logic they really reached, IMHO, the edge of anything possible at that time (as for this special song, of course) ...
The Sisters nowadays are more into rock, I think ... but they are not a "heads-down balls-out power-chord thrash" these days...
...
Of course, I've heard them experimenting on this - as much as on other concepts - over the year, but they have clearly more than only one dimension at hand, also when it comes to the general sound concept...
... a little less "heads-down balls-out power" in singing than occacsionally shown at Crammerock would do no harm, though ...
...
*hell, not that I didn't like that, it's all professional and rocking enough ...
...

You might as well hold up a "WAYNE SMELLS OF DOG POO" banner... it makes more sense and you'd get chucked out just as quick.

Totally agree - I don't see much vitriol directed at Wayne, just a few cheap and easy potshots at a national figure of fun. Hussey became the pantomime villain the day the Sisterhood (Hussey and Adams version) gig posters went up all round Leeds one fateful day not long after the split. It's all a bit of light-hearted banter between the SGWBM fans and the FALAA crew. As for the idea of fans paying to watch a wretched Wayne counting out the £25000 in pound coins whilst a dismissive
sneered down from his golden throne - pure comedy gold. I haven't laughed so much since Melody Maker stopped
Nod Corner.

I thought it was something serious and deadly, like 'Don't no-one go bringin' up those cockamamie pissants, they're
banned round these here parts...'
But if it's just a joke I can handle that. I like jokes.

I think they just didn't want to have a forum dedicated to The Sisters of Mercy flooded with arguments about the times of Wayne, m*****n and stuff ...
They were long gone when Heartland started and no use to have them mentioned here all that extensively ...

Rock n Roll shanagins?
Since 1985 I can't see how Von tops Lovelock on many, if any, of that.
I don't buy into Wayne making the Sisters (Reptile House and Temple of Love was the peak IMHO) but jesus see through the dry ice and recognise how crap the Sisters have become....
You never hear someone coming away from a m*****n live show disappointed. Fact.
So true. Wayne and the M................n (I cannot tell how silly it is not to be able to write the name) always give 100 percent, good sound, a lot of material to chose from, he loves to perform, like writing songs, releasing records, keeping contact with fans, updating their website, meet the fans after shows etc etc. He cares about and loves his fans.
He is a musician. His should be in the musicindustry.
Andrew gives about 25 percent on stage, hiding himself in the smoke, sings a little, howls a little, doing nothin a little, bad sound, same setlists year after year after year after year, hates to perform, doesnt see himself as a singer, writes a song every other year, has lost the edge lyricwise, released his last album 21 years ago, never keeping conatct with his fans, not even his band members, the website is a joke, hates recordcompainies, hates journalists, hates the musicindustry in general.
he is not a musician (told once he never ever socialized with other musicians). He is in the wrong business.......

I just don't run in those circles I guess.
I think Von is a better lyricist then Huss.
Von used to be a MUCH better lyricist than Wayne. USED to.... nowadays I almost feel ashamed reading the new lyrics, Arms is a good song I think, but the lyrics are crap, and the silly song with "girls on smoke, weed, coken and speed. I have slept with all the girls in Berlin". It really could be a young Wayne who wrote that........

solidarity?
nope, nothing so sinister...
way back in the mists of time when i started HL i was adding "obscene" words into the swear filter, and the idea of the mish being considered a swear word around here amused me a little.
'tis a gag. playing on the sillyness of many sisters fans' bitterness towards wayne & co. an in-joke, if you will.
and over the years it's just become an accepted joke.
i wouldn't worry about it or read to much into it.
fwiw, if you also type in the name of the echo & the bunneymen's 4th album, you get similar censorship: "ocean ra
in" becomes "ocean rain"
that one was put in for mr blast's sanity
