Currently wondering...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well you see there your mistake was in imagining that I have any knowledge at all of Adele's lyrics.

Actually that's the one Adele line I know - because I remember thinking "wtf?" when I heard it - but I didn't get the potassium reference either

Where on earth the 'which band have I got tickets for now' (not exact title I know, but hey, it's not like I'm going to use the 'search' button now is it?) thread is. Am on page 9 and I can't locate it - I am just about to be bored by it. By page 12 I shall give up.

The Trash gets emptied on a regular basis. I think it even empties itself.

In other words, things don't stay in the trash very long before they completely disappear. (This is also the reason your post-count can go down as well as up.)

yep, when someone tries to view the trash folder it triggers a quick date check and it removes anything over 7 days old.

that's why if there's a really long thread like 'currently listening...' in the trash there can be a bit of a lag when someone tries to view it - the trash is deleting itself and reindexing post counts etc. with a long thread that can cause a small but perceptible delay in the page loading...

that's one of the reasons why we bin them at 1000 rather than let them grow and grow :)

How did the conversation start - were you talking about relatives and relations?

We're going round to see some friends tomorrow night, and based on previous experiences this means that Sunday is a write-off.

It's difficult - work, life, and age drain the life from you. 20 years ago I'm sure I could drink myself stupid, party till the early hours, then get up early the next day and do 100 things.

These days I'm lucky if I can make breakfast.
