the "in the know" crowd (john on this thread but also PiB elsewhere) insist otherwise, citing york, vanbrugh college
Mr PIB does know stuff and does know people, mr PIB insn't in the 'in-crowd', that was the mamas and tha papas. mr PIB never insisted anything, mr Johnny confirmed the venue as vanburgh in york, he even told us the date. Mr PIB has booked a course because it would be free digs and free transport, mr PIB took an educated guess and as vanburgh college is booked for a 'private' event on that date
fair enough. 8)

Fuckin' hell, you lot DO go on a bit.

So after all this debate your conclusion about what Eldritch thinks we'll all be surprised at is ........ that they might do a gig ?!

Well f**k me sideways with a hot poker, A GIG - I'm really surprised.

As to where the gig(s) is/are - wait and see for f**k's sake.

SO, eight pages later what will we REALLY be surprised at ?
Hands up for a surprising addition to the line up ?
Hands up for lots of new songs ?
hands up for recordings ?
hands up for "he was talking s**t like usual" ?

Have to say, unless he's got something new to promote,I couldn't give a monkey's if he plays Vegas,York,or Helsinki Central.I suspect the Vegas show will be no different from the ones played in Europe, except maybe a better light-show will be staged.

Well, all speculation aside, what do we know?

1) The official site says they're playing in Vegas
2) Eldritch adds some remark above it to keep the appearance of knowledge and superiority.

Answer:
The Sisters are playing in Vegas on that date, and Eldritch is still succeeding in making us think there's a deeper meaning.

I have both hands and feet waving in the air for a surprising addition to the line up, lots of new songs and recordings.

2006 looks good.

Someone has to remind America how to make Rock`n Roll , after all the RapCrap of the last ten years.
New Theory: Remember the Smoke and Mirrors-shows? TWO Andrews on the stage. Maybe that cloning korean Professor lied about lying? Vegas and York at once.
 And silver has allways been the colour of german racing cars. It`s somewhere in Germany. I couldn`t phantasize about the exact location yet, sorry. ;D

I've had a thought :| (Rare, I know )

Maybe the surprise is just a double bluff? Von expects us not to be surprised at him giving it up this late in the game and tells us that something's really going to surprise us. The surprise is that Andrew actually considers ending his career to be a surprise :(

If it is the same Warlocks I think about; it's not goth. Take a listen to their music at their homepage: http://www.thewarlocks.com
Sounds like some sort of pop n roll. 8)

Nicely inoffensive. I could probably rather like them given a bit more of a listen. Whoever's doing it needs to make sure the bootleg contains the support band's set too ;)

If it is indeed The Sisters and The Warlocks...that is a damn good show.

Warlocks, despite the name, are anything but G***. They're rather...psychedelic...groovy...and a lot of people up there on stage.

Saw them open for Interpol in 2003, excellent show, great opener, especially when you're in the pit, chemically altered, and smiling ear to ear.

Nice double bill...need to check if The Warlocks are touring soon? They have an album out recently that's quite good. I think they're from San Fran.

Damn! It's getting tempting, damn it. Sisters in the USA again, who'da thunk? Not I.

Anyone see them at HOB in '99?

Note to self - never catagorise a band by its name

The Grateful Dead were originally called The Warlocks, knew you'd be pleased
