I was wondering why I couldn't find it on the official site.

I generally enjoy quite much Von's ironic, cynical remarks... But I don't always agree with them. So I'll most probably buy the albums whatever he says/writes/thinks/etc. 8)

I'm weak indeed.

Gimme a new album and I'll consider not buying the reissues. :innocent:

Just got back from me little trip to the local record store in the Netherlands. No news about any re-releases whatsoever.. this despite the owner being into the Sisters and him always being in touch with what's going on with the old school bands. Fingers crossed!

Im glad my little prank with the webpage was taken in good hummor :innocent:
I knew the yahoo advertisements and the mention of a new album would be dead give aways! and it would not seriously fool anyone but i just wanted to leave the reader that moment of possible doubt.

Maybe it will it will teach :von: to use source protection on the website from now on.

back to the topic ...

I will definatley get FALAA for Poison door& On the wire
I will probabley buy the other two as there midprice and my CDs have seen better days and it will be nice to have booklets etc

Plus maybe good sales will promt someone to offer :von: a record deal.
As I truley belive it will be a shame if the current sisters do not release something as I belive there have the potential to still be relevent (as Billy Idols recent comeback/realease was)
Eldritch just need encurragemet!

That entirely impossible hypothetical concept which HTTP makes no allowance for?

Err, this protocol:

view-source://www.thesistersofmercy.com ;)

If the browser can render something, the end user can see it, fact.

no good
(decent) albums had a start and an ending. apart perhaps from the 2 bonus tracks on the orignal floodland cd, i think this is also valid for the sisters albums. these additions are a mockery of the concept 'album' and contain songs that can easily be found elsewhere. only point of interest might be the early version of some kind of stranger.

Then consider it an album + extra tracks compilation. So long as they don't reorder the tracks, it does nothing to harm your listening experience. Think of the bonus tracks as DVD Extras - you probably wouldn't (and don't have to) watch a film and then the extras straight after, but it's convenient to have them on a single disk.

Anyone find it odd that the albums have no mention on the Rhino Records website and are not listed on the Amazon U.S. site?

Well, the first number I called at Rhino had no idea what I was talking about but recommended I call "Dr. Rhino" about "future releases" though 30 days from now hardly seems future - more upcoming. Instead I emailed "Dr. Rhino" and will let you know what I hear.

I am a bit wary about the Neverland and SKOS (early). But we'll see. I look forward to being wrong.
