Seems so.
I completely agree. Albums are like statics, gigs more like mobile homes ...Eva wrote:Attending gigs gives me more than listening to an album ever could.
You got that wrong: I prefer attending gigs. --> As long as The Sisters continue to play live shows I'm happy.lachert wrote:good for you folks that you prefer to listen bootlegs rather that something proper released...

nah. where did you found that i don't like going on gigs, and where is the rule that if they put out new album there will be no more concerts?Eva wrote:You got that wrong: I prefer attending gigs. --> As long as The Sisters continue to play live shows I'm happy.lachert wrote:good for you folks that you prefer to listen bootlegs rather that something proper released...
Yes, message clear and understood... Now let's wait a while and find out if anything's gonna happenlachert wrote: new album must be, understand?
i've got a bad day, so folks, close your left eye for me
So Von's glorious quest has finally ended in admitted failure. I can't find it right away, but I remember a bunch of interviews he did in the 87-92 period saying "we have no interest in being a cult band, if you're not at least trying to be #1 pop idols it's not worth the effort". He even tried going to the effort to scare "the cult" (i.e. goffs) away. Now... screw it?Official program wrote: The Sisters of Mercy are the definition of a cult band.
Von wrote:I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

It's a realistic statement, that also goes for The Sisters and as a matter of fact for all bands that peaked in the 80's.Sita wrote: I've seen Iggy saying, laughing, in a show "I can't write a song like Now I Wanna Be Your Dog anymore. But I can play it like noone else."

But its not realistic, he quite clearly has a bunch of excellent unreleased songs that prove he can still write as well as ever.paul wrote:It's a realistic statement, that also goes for The Sisters and as a matter of fact for all bands that peaked in the 80's.Sita wrote: I've seen Iggy saying, laughing, in a show "I can't write a song like Now I Wanna Be Your Dog anymore. ... hell, lachert ... at the moment, it's just not the time for a new album ... doesn't take a higher spiritual level to see that ...lachert wrote:good for you folks that you prefer to listen bootlegs rather that something proper released. maybe i'll step on that "higher spiritual level of no need" too, someday, someday ... but now i'm melting in hell's tar of nonunderstanding politics of our "fearless" leader
OK, OK I got it. Please allow us that still have some hope to believe.Bartek wrote:four years ago some of us thought the same, 25th anniversary coming soon so we record is a must. - yeah they will sell it on gigs. yeah.
