Thinking of going to Guido Belcanto tomorrow at the Sfinx festival...
(Only the Belgians and perhaps some of the Dutchies will know him I guess)
It's free, he's on at 5pm so it can be a family thing. Let's hope it doesn't rain

Neil Young & Crazy Horse cancelled their upcoming dates, one of which Pukkelpop next Friday... Feck.
Still, plenty more good things to see there: NiN, Savages, Bombino, Eels, Factory Floor, James Blake, Low, Bat For Lashes, The XX, The Knife, Soft Moon, Holy Other etc

Off to spend some time with my folks this afternoon. See you after the weekend guys.

Our Black Sabbath tickets came this morning.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I thought it was great!Hom_Corleone wrote:How was it?radiojamaica wrote:My Bloody Valentine in a couple of hours
Last time I saw them they played around the 120 db mark or so and you can imagine that that noise was so much to handle that you couldn't even hear anything else but noise (no voices, no subtility). It was more like an event, but had little to do with the music.
This time around we've got pretty severe db limits forced by law. A thing MBV really didn't like and we'll probably don't see them again in Belgium anytime soon. But, playing around the 100db level, did help to open up the sound. Belinda & Kevin's voices were audible, as was the bass, synth & guitars... I recognised almost every song Their final noise-a-thon was much shorter as usual, but for the rest it was a very decent gig. Glad I've seen them again, I even made a blurry pic:
Next up: Chic / Nile Rodgers tomorrow! Am polishing my disco boots in a minute
