All Sisters gigs are enjoyable as far as I’m concerned but not a classic in my opinion. Vocals to low in the mix especially mid show and feedback. The band were tight and all seemed to enjoy it. Fun watching the security trying to stop the towers. Good venue and a high stage which always helps for the vertically challenged. Enjoyed both new tracks on first listen, But Genevieve perhaps more so than Black Sail. Onwards to Rock City next.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Von mostly communicates by mime, yes, but it was still a great gig. He seemed pretty chipper, messing about, having a daft laugh. And the mass singalong was cracking.

That was fun. First half up front was definitely better than second half down back, but what's a middle-aged man to do when nature calls? But Geneveive is fantastic, Black Sail reminded me of I Was Wrong too.

Fantastic to catch up with some faces I've not seen in years. John Robb was there too, always a pleasure. Not a bad start to this round at all!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

I've uploaded the setlist over on Setlist.fm

Am I right in thinking But Genevieve and Black Sail were first plays?

Listening back to the new tracks, I think I prefer But Genevieve of the two.
I really liked the guitar harmonies Ben and Dylan played during the track. It just seemed a more coherent track than Black Sail.

It's easy to forget how long it is since we had new songs... last year excepting (and the odd bone they’ve thrown to us over the years). That these new songs are good is quite a thing. I mean, it's been over 30 years since I've been this excited by new Sisters material. Whether a new album happens or not, Gawd bless 'em for trying. Genevieve might not be the Sisters' very finest moment, but I'd listen to it all day long over most of what I listen to these days. It's quite gorgeous.

thank you for all the videos!
Black Sail sounds the most Cohen in feel they've got yet, I love it

Thank you for the updates, helps when one is far away. Now onto the usual lyrics guessing game.

Found it a solid enough gig, although the sound could have been better at times.
For me, I preferred Black Sail to But Genevieve. But not much in it IMO.
Love the fact they're sort of working these songs as they play them.
Think there's a good chance they'll debut another couple in the course of the tour.

Thanks you superstars :notworthy:

Sounds like a good start!

BG is particularly groovy.

Inevitable merch question: How was the merch?

Tour t-shirt is the forward facing partially cutaway head and star on the front with the cities listed on the back - no dates.
Must admit I didn't look at much else.
Scardy has a photo he might well post here.

From the photo i saw on Facebook, it looked like the only new item is the tour shirt already mentioned.

And 'Karlsruhe' is spelt wrong on the back

Think the photo was from Gothicbiff - maybe she will share here too :D :D

But Genevieve sounds great... but this really needs to be recorded in a studio (please God)

As has been said earlier Dylan has definetely a Chris Holmes vibe...I can see him now sitting in a swimming pool pouring a bottle of vodka over his head.

Is it just my ears or is BG the biggest nod back towards 1984/5 for years? But obviously with the current laboured lead vocalisations.

Good to see new songs but slightly disappointed to again notice the post VT era ignored.

Top Nite Out.

Lovely to put faces to a number of familiar screen names. Roll on Tuesday!

Got a long way to go to beat the Nephs, who printed a t-shirt with Glasgow, England on it.
