Is it close enough for us to start counting down the days yet?

Not yet Mike but I strongly suspect this thread will have made the top ten by 6th August.
Time for a group hug?

I remember of course! How could I forget my favourite beer?
But i have a little plan - we will get wasted on Kolsch, coz it is only 20 bottles!
Keep it secret!

That's me sorted. What are you going to drink?
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

...And now to something completely different:
Has any of the Dutch and/or Belgians around here a vague or precise idea on how one gets to Lokerse from Tilburg by train? How long does it take? Will we have to travel via A'dam or not? Should I book my ticket in advance or can I do that then and there?
Any help is appreciated as I'm very badly organised at the mo...

Simply because they live there and might know, while mr travel agent, as nice as he is, doesn't.
I've never had a problem giving people infos about travelling in my country and therefore it didn't occur to me that other people could have a different attitude.
Any more questions?

As Eva says, you can't beat local knowledge. I'll leave to our Dutch/Belgian colleagues.

For the train thingy from Lokeren (Lokerse means 'of Lokeren'
) to Tilburg, I think you should best have a look at the
b-rail or
ns sites . Normally you should be able to check it on those with just a click or two
I think your train would normally go from Tilburg to Roosendaal, after which it would go via Antwerp to Lokeren,... Tickets are available in any station at the very moment you'll try to catch your train in Belgium, and I guess Holland has the same system...
