Welcome to the forum!
Just one mistake: こんいちは → こんにちは
but good job. :D
Where did you learn japanese?

It's been quite hard for me to learn English. Still
learning it. Probably, for most of Asian nationals who
are not normally familiar with alphabet, it takes time.

I heard that Mr.Eldritch had learned Chinese at university when he was a student.
Is it true?

He studied Chinese and politics at University of Leeds but dropped out. The Chinese curriculum included one year in Beijing, and he didn't want to go.

I wouldn't say I've learnt Japanese, I listen to a lot of Japanese music and I've picked up a few words and phrases, nothing much really. I can recognise most hiragana/katakana and a handful of kanji. I use a lot of Japanese download sites and after copying and pasting text into a translator I ended up learning to recognise stuff. I've got the IME and all the fonts installed which is how I'm able to type Japanese.

Who's the pic in your avatar? He looks a bit like Gekidan Hitori.

Dear Dan,

If you happen to come over here, I will show you round, starting from
Sushi, Sumo, and bullet train..

Who's the pic in your avatar? He looks a bit like Gekidan Hitori.

It is a member of japanese rock band called "Kishidan."
http://www.toshiba-emi.co.jp/capitol/kishidan/

They look like japanese bad boys in the 80s.

Their hairstyle is very impressive.
Nowadays we rarely see this kind of guy in the street however.
:D

Thanks for the offer. I'm quite partial to a bowl of ramen or two. :D

Ah yes, I think I remember seeing them on this years Kouhaku.
An impressive quiff. The forum's very own Quiff Boy used to have a quiff, but probably nothing as impressive as that.

So you can watch "Kouhaku" in UK?
It is broadcast on new year's eve which features popular music contest
here in japan. Aka(Red) team and Shiro(White) team will compete, mainly
Aka team consists of female singers, and male sigers are from Shiro team.

You can watch it if you download it with bittorrent. :D
I've downloaded the full show for the last 3 years.

What made me laugh was that this year Gorie was on the red team and Wada Akiko was on the white team.

You can download almost anything from bittorrent if you know where to look. I'm currently watching Yaguchi Mari's drama 'Sentou no Musume'. I'm enjoying it although some parts of the storyline are leaving me a bit confused, I wish I understood more.
