As always : his own way. Remember the Rubettes ? The BGs wouldn't make that much of a difference.
Not too sure about China girl, if only for the fact that there already is a nice (Iggy) version and a crappy (DB) version. And don't tell me you like that Let's dance version. It's awful, and the only reason why DB recorded a new version was because Iggy needed the royalties pretty bad. A nice gesture IMO but an awful track nonetheless.

I'm listening to my Idiot cd right now Cgirl is play'in and I have to say
as much as I love the Popmeister I prefer Bowie's version better.
