They were also prominently displayed during the tenth birthday celebrations- one night he said 'now here's a funny thing' about halfway through & did the rest of the gig shadeless; the other he said 'nearly human' but I understand he put them back on after one song.
Not for me to conjecture that the front row was more ugly one night than the other

I just sent those 2 photos from "Sounds" (Oct. 13. 1984) to DomConway and let him to decide are they worth to upload...
If we presume the person is the same on all Otto's pics and then compare them with those from "Sounds"-newspaper...
It seems to me there are some remarkable points of similarity...

If you look closely enough at the This Corossion video you can see his eyes when his shades slip. There's also an Interview in Melody Maler back in January 1990 when he's wearing very small round shades that show his eyes reasonably well ( they are, as he claims, a very dirty green!).

Nah! That was photo edited! He is actually blind!

He was probably too stoned to see where the stage ended with the dark glasses on. Yes, today I'm merciless!

Possibly a stupid question, but are the first two photos actually Von without shades?
??:
Not a stupid question. These are rare.
I've seen others but these are the best I've seen so far. Seriously, I believe some of the "marketing" photos were edited. These seem real.

Thanx, DomConway!
Now everybody can compare photos by Phillippe Carly and those from Sounds.
I think the person is the same - just look at Carly's 2nd and 3rd pic and 1st from Sound - you can also make it bigger by clicking on it, thanx again DC

Ummm...hey, DomConway? I get 404 errors when I try to access those links...

Hate to say it but... "works fine for me". My hosting provider isn't the most reliable in the world, so maybe try again, and try hitting ctrl-F5 if you still get the 404. Let me know if you still have problems...

So what was your point?

Anyway, another point for the "Sisters

I never had doubts. It is Eldritch and that's how his eyes look like... or used to anyway.
As you know, people's eyes turn less and less dark with age.

What's this "for Sisters of Mercy management only" if the images are online?
Yes, I read the explanation in Dominion but I didn't get it. Can someone explain please?
