Anyone out there not fudamentalist?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

It's right nice, is Edinburgh, big castle and everything. Though not as nice as Bamburgh, which has a cricket pitch at the foot of its castle. Now THAT's classy. Whereas Norham's castle is pants in comparison. We stayed in Norham (pronounced 'Norrum'). It makes Royston Vasey look normal. The butcher had ginger hair, but annoyingly didn't ask if I'd like any special stuff. My disappointment was tangible.

Aren't castles wickeeeddddddddd. :D

Cor bloody 'ell - thought I was the only one from there on here. Being a Sissies fan in my youth was a singularly lonely experience - only knew 1 other person who liked them, and the school christmas disco was something of a cultural wasteland ("Scuse me, mister DJ - do you have Bela Lugosi's Dead?" "No - now f*ck off!")...

Fair enough - probably got a couple of years on me, then, she was Headmistress in my day.
boudicca wrote:I'm surprised the two of you aren't related!
You joke about that, but...I was in a bar in San Francisco a couple of years ago, talking some smack about someone I was at school with. Bloke next to me turned around and said, "Do you mind - he's my sister-in-law's nephew." If you're from the Island, no matter how far you go, you will always run into someone you know, or someone who knows you.
