Reissue Cover Scans

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Yes, please send such comments to that thread so that we do not contaminate this one with such nonsense. ;D

Fortunately, a battalion is smaller than a regiment, so there are fewer of you out there than some of you think. :innocent:

Or do I have thee ultimate collectors' item? ;D
I that case, the "Sisters of" looks the same to me?!

Can somebody measure?
Well spotted nic, so there's two typos on the spine then.
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

Two. There's a blatant difference between the spacing. The spine reads

"THE SISTERSOF MERCY FIRST ANDLAST AND ALWAYS"

Yep, sure. As I don't and will never own these items, I've only been able to zoom in on the scans, but even so I can still spot the mistake.

And yes, it's James' fault for pointing it out, but ultimate blame lies with the lack of quality control at the printers.

Don't blame the printers. They just print what they're told to print. The proofs should have been checked by the designers.

The buck stops here.

In all honesty, the first copy of FALAA I ever had was a cassette of the 85 version, and that was riddled with typos. There were 3 different variants on "A Rock and a Hard Place".

Didn't detract one little bit from the music within.

It took the CD release to do that ;)

Hey, don't shoot the messenger! It's the sort of thing you trainspotters love anyway. ;D

and Fiendy is right about the proofs

Ok, so it's the designers' fault...maybe they shoud employ someone with better work ethics then

mh I've got a copy of the cassette as well...not noticed the typos before, I'll have to have a check when I'm next near it. My tape collection is still Up North in storage.

Hmmm...I may be starting to come around to the idea of actually buying these things.

Cos they corrected the typos. :D

We need FALAA with typos. It's tradition, and part of what makes it a great LP!
