And, sarcasm and joking aside, I really meant that too. Apart from the aforementioned generosity, I've forged friendships here that truly mean a great deal to me.
Goodnight you magnificent bastards.

Whle I will always maintain openly REVERN'D about Brother Blasts kindness and generosity, I'd also have to 'blame' him for me turning up here and getting the most warm reception ever (if only IZ hadn't found out about that band I was in at the time I joined...). HL is a tight knit community and even though we might not like one another's views or personalities, there is still a great sense of the ties that bind us. If you want to call me a hippie assh*le, be my guest, you'd probably mistake me for someone who actualy cares, but I always felt welcome here and the HL community thriving and that's what matters...

I prefer to call them "hippy scum".

Tree-hugging hippy scum.

Since I joined nearly four years ago, I've met an outstanding bunch of people, too many to name. You all know who you are anyway.
Only this morning did I receive yet another unexpected package in the mail from a very kind Heartlander, this time at some personal expense to the sender.
Step up to the podium, The Laird of The Gorbals
Big Si!
Give yourselves a pat on the back for all the material, spiritual and cultural delights you have bestowed upon me down the years. And a big thanks to The
Boss for setting the template.
NB. no drink had been taken when this was posted, so it isn't just another of my inebriated ramblings
Taking it back to the north...
As I owed you a b'day prezzy from last year and that damned Gun Club CD has remained elusive I thought this would be the next best thing
@Scotty I didn't know CNUTS meant "beautiful person from edinburgh and fan of Edinburgh's greatest fitba team"?
As we both know, there's only 2 great teams in Scotland, and they both wear Green and White

it would be rude of me to name those HLers who have blown me away with their generousity and kindness over the last couple of years as i would be bound to miss someone out through the laws of puting my foot in it, but you all know who you are and every single one of you proves that decency and spontaneous, selfless acts of downright
love are not the alien concepts some would have us believe.
so -whether you've sent me prezzies (and the jocks, both honorary and actual, deserve a special mention -don't let any fuc
ker say youse are tight 'cause that's bollocks), put me up for the night, or been just been a mate when i've needed one, thank you all.
Heartland forever.

excuse me? I turn my back for just ten days and Heartland turns into a filthy group-hugging hippie-commune?
Even you, emwk? Wtf?
I want that girl of Richey James back.

More has come out of this place for me than I've put in. I hope I've made some lifelong friends, I'm not sure 'cuz I've not died yet. I'll be selfish, and say immediately, the MacHeartlanders have been the greatest bunch of drink-soaking I mean generous and social people I've ever met over the internet. You're all very important to me. After the Leeds crowd.
Odds on no-one dares mention this at the next HL Gathering.

I like this forum, I just haven't really talked to anyone in particular. I'm sure you're all nice, though.
Of course, living across the atlantic makes most of the jokes a bit...erm...."mystifying."
