Yer really missing nowt, it's for hardcore types. I like the wee community The Boss has here.
But, to each their own...

Heartland is mentioned in the booklet of an official release... :D

I was on Dominion as well. Quite boring and after reading some Anika "posts" I deleted my membership.
But as a medium I do not approve it. Nor do I disapprove it.

Edit: I typed the name to see if that certain name would be regarded as swearing...

I´ve been scratching my head since then..
Still didn´t get through the skull though..
The one big difference between Dominion and Heartland is that over here there is less anonymity, and thus people tend to treat each others more like people and not as email adreses. I guess Pete would have made Dominon more like Heartland if the technical options had permitted that back then. He started the list in ´89, if I remember correctly?

I like both, for the reasons people have already mentioned. Yes, Heartland is very much a community, through which I've got to know a lot of very nice people. It allows for offtopic stuff and has the magnificent weeding section. However, it took me a long time to get used to the format and I still wonder how people working full-time or with family commitments manage to find the time to keep up-to-date with the postings! As for Dominion, I like the directness of it. I don't have to look any further than my inbox for posts, and I have also made good friends through it. When I first joined Dominion, it was very lively - even between tours - and although flame wars were common, it was still a great place to discuss anything Sisters related. In recent years, its popularity seems to have nosedived, I suspect largely due to heavy trolling and a general lack of useful input (of which I'm also guilty) to offset the s**t posts. Nonetheless, it still picks up during tours and is still a great means of getting/passing on information when needed.

Both sites work well. Bat and Quiffy do a great job of running them, and long may they both continue. :notworthy: :notworthy:
