I would really like to see this happen!
...contacted Porl around 2001-2002 to play here in Sweden and he replied that it would never ever gonna happen...
I would gladly fly to London to see them, but I guess you have to be stubborn like a pissed off badger to make it happen Maisey!

@xFloorshowx
Email him again now. Tell him that you would be willing to come to London. Lets show a united front on this one
Sometimes a few all at once have more strength than many divided

I've got to admire your spirit
Maisey
I doubt it would recapture the magic of seeing Rosetta at The Phono (approx 500 people in a club that was supposed to hold no more than about 250) but hey, it's got to be worth a try.
Oh for the enthusiasm of youth!

my vote has gone in for Peterborough, as no band in their right mind would come to Corby

ok, if that ISN'T Neil Garner, who just so happens to be credited on the back of half of Rosetta's 12"s as the artist...
the PM I just sent is going to look bloodt silly!

Yes Maisey those Spidey senses of yours which went all tingly at the thought of being in the presence of a certain person were correct. That is indeed the man who created the wall of sound at Rosetta shows and created those iconic t-shirt and record artwork.
But, I'll let the man himself divulge further details... Ladies and Gentlemen I give you, from behind the sound desk (pre USA)..
Now, I'll just phone Karl North and try and persuade him to come on this forum and we can all have a nice little chat..

Can we be a full on conspiricy?
How many of us are there? We need nine. We shall be called "the fellowship of the rose"
I'm serious though. If we can convince Karl that is this is a good idea, my idea of a strong united front may become more and more plausable.
Do you think Karl would be annoyed if I sent him an email along that line?
hmm, if the ball rolls fast enough I might be able to come and say hi personally in the Easter (leeds?) Although we could carry on convincing those two and make plans for the summer.
The old crew are pretty well represented, the newly converted present also. Now we need the boys themselves. I hope you noticed on the vote for sheffield "I am too young to have seen them the first time" that wasn't me!
We need to convince Karl and Porl to meet up in a pub or something anyway, not only because of the band, but because I have an entire record collection devoid of signitures

If you can get Rosetta to reform, I'll try my hand at the March Violets (who I always confuse Rosetta with
).

I would laugh along, but I saw a significant part of Queen preform live not all that long ago
Was it Peter Muphy that said never again regarding Bauhaus?
I still believe

I really want to revert that, because I'm a Wiki Nazi, and disapprove of the unencyclopedic content, rather than for any other reason, but I won't, because I do agree with the sentiment.
I'll change it later, to keep it in line with Wikipedia, unless someone gets there before me and changes it.

I realise that was such a blantent abuse of wikipedia it hurts. But well, its still a fact, the poll does exist.
I am musing on my battle plan from here. Mr Garner doesn't see much hope (not much different from any others) and to be fair I can't see any reason why he is wrong. I am resisting pestering Porl for the moment. I want to appear enthusiatic but not mental.
At the moment its a case of drumming up enough re-interest in what people assume is long gone for them to indipendantly make their thoughts known to both Karl and Porl.
Grr, if only someone else with more credibilty than "a fan" would do this. Maybe the have and failed...*sigh*

I've edited the Wiki page. Presumably it can be kept like that until the poll expires.

in short, last i heard was that all the original members are interested (logistics aside!) but unfortunately a couple of the band didnt want to work with each other (old grudges i guess)... so one of them wont be joining the party - it just remains to be seen which one.
thats if it actually comes off. the guys (& gal) are pretty scattered around the globe!
