I've heard of a so-called "Floodland Mixes" tape including 2 versions of Flood I, Flood II and Driven Like The Snow.
I don't have yet a copy of this and I'd like to know if it's a fake
Here is the attached text with the tape
I've had this tape sitting in a drawer since around 1990. It was just
labelled as "Floodland demos", and the recording was accompanied by a
loud whistle (this is caused by being copied using high-speed dubbing
when there's a TV set close to the machine). I removed as much of the
whistle as I could without affecting the quality of the recording, so
now it's not noticeable except during the quiet bits like at the start
and ends of some songs.
This is obviously another in-house mixes tape, or something of that
sort. The tracks are definitely different, for example the intro of
Driven Like The Snow #1 is longer, and the mix of Lucretia sounds
less busy than the finished version. Also, you can hear that some
tracks seem to be off vinyl, so some of them are probably from
acetates.
Is this rare? I really don't know, and couldn't give a toss, but I
haven't seen it on anyone's list so I suppose it could be.
I now release this to the masses, in the hope that some of the other
people selfishly hoarding the "rare" stuff will do something similar.
After all, we're all Sisters fans, and the net is all about sharing.
I think I'm probably wasting my time though, and Eldritch will release
3 new albums before I get to hear Deinze 1.6.84.

I used winrar. And anyway I've been using winzip for years, you can keep using it after the evaluation period is over.

7-zip is a great bit of freeware that will open zip's and rar's as well as a number of other formats.

I remember, before a friend accidentally sent me a WinRAR installer and then accidentally told me a valid key, that CAM UnZip was a good freeware program too.

Love the accidental attitude.

Of course. He'd never send me keygens, DVD rips or links to copyrighted material intentionally, I'm sure.

Thanks for posting. These don't sound like the Floodland demos that are available in the weeding section. These sound to me more like alternate mixes of the final songs (e.g. extra vocal-echo on the Lucretia chorus).
Sounds like the songs are in their "near-completion" stage. Is that right?

I guess so. I'm pretty sure the guy I got the tape from said he got the tape before the album was released.

Great list you've made here.
If you've put question marks here because you're not sure it's real/it exists, there is a demo version of Walk Away on In the shadow of angels/Wide receiver which is different from the final version, both musically as the way it's sung. Unfortunately, it comes with the final 1985 lyrics.
edit: There are several demo versions of No time to cry out there as well. One more listenable then the other...

There is no lossless rip, just those mp3's I made about 6 or so years ago.

I take it you haven't listened to them yet, they're not that great.
