In the movie "High Fidelity" (which btw I just love), John Cusack's character asks himself : "Am I miserable because I listen to pop music, or do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable ?"
In the end you never know. But pop music surely helps.

From what you've said you are better off out of it. Don't let the loss take over your life.

Would a Sisters tatoo improve my mood?
Or not?
f**k it's so f**king difficult, it's so difficult to bear it, I feel so bloody guilty for having put so much attention into The Sisters and so little to my relationship till it broke to pieces, and yet I want a Sisters tatoo to cheer me up.
The gigs in Geiselwind and Zottegem better be stonking great, better they be great or else I'll go mad.
f**k.
Sorry for the outburst.

I'm not really one for tattoos, but I know some folk do get them to mark the start of a new chapter in their life...

Trust me, I know how it feels to blame yourself when these things happen - but ultimately it sounds like there was a whole lot more working against the relationship other than just your love for the Sisters. (Sorry if that sounds blunt.)

Maybe you shouldn't go with a permanent tattoo just yet. Some of them do last long enough to cheer you up, and you can see if you really want it or if it's just a crush.

Edit : Oh, and wot smiscandlon sez.

Just bumped into this, and I'm sorry to read what happened , Em. Like Meerkat Man said : we all wish you well. And time will heal all wounds, we've all been there at some time or other. Having that said : drinking excessively is a choice one makes for oneself. I someone rather drinks than to address and work through certain issues in a relationship, I wouldn't call that a smart move. And getting a Sisters tat might be cool, but I'm with everyone else here who suggest you wait a while and decide on getting one when things have calmed down a bit. I wish you lots of strength to get through this...

Can't really add much but wishing you all the best.

We'll all be here and there at the gigs to support you!

Life sucks..It's not for everyone , and some even choose to take the easy way out - Doug Stanhope 2005.

I'm not going to make the obvious references and patronise you and say 'there there love, love's cruel and time heals all wounds..' waaaahh waaaaah. etc. repeat to fade.

Naturally you will feel lonely and empty for ages and that your the only person in the entire world who has ever felt like this, but I assure you, one day you will wake up and a huge weight will have been lifted from you - and all those small things that set you off feeling low and down don't bother you anymore. Song lyrics, places you go, tv shows.whatever they are, everything changes. For the better.

Hang on in there kid. Not all men are losers, and contrary to belief..we are worth it in the end.

As for a Sisters tattoo.. they all look crap. I even saw one back in the 80's of it done backwards.

But, I got a Ramone's Eagle on my arm - and it's something I should of done many years ago -but never had the cash/nerve.

Get a tattoo, if it makes you feel better - but get it for the right reasons. Like a photo or a memory they stay with you forever as a reminder of the good times in your life :)

Keep smiling honey .. Just remember that Every now and then, life needs an enema. :)

Thanks for that commercial Rick!
There is a faint doubt that a featherlike, tiny, brittle person like _Emma_ will match a nearly 100Kg battlecollossus like me, though..

A woman that is to survive me has to be a bit robust, I fear..
She ought to be used to handling cattle, maybe have driven the occasional bulldozer to be familiar with methods of making me step asside when I once again do not realize I´m standing in the way, and stuff like that. See what I mean? :innocent:

You just got a pat on the back, mate! :D
