Of course, when you check in with your REAL name, you won't ever get a hotel room. The staff would be frightened to death and worried about the hotel room being thrashed to bits...

At least that's a last name that won't make online airline bookings next to impossible

Actually, how does such a name change work when you book something like e.g. a flight and have to check in with a passport with another name on it

Presumably you'd require a new passport as well, and all the various other legal blather with your employer and suchlike.

I always get hotels/etc getting my surname wrong, so I figure I'd just change it to what they normally get it wrong as. Makes things easier for everyone.
