Two people is a very very small minority. You shouldn't go on that account. Concentrate on the good and try to ignore the bad. I know it ain't easy, but it's the best way.

And yes, I'm well aware she's not going to read this message, or any other on this thread.

Sorry. Only A2-level German. That doesn't look quite right to me, but there we go. You're the one immersed in the language.
In any case, it's the message foremost, so I believed.

Aye, wot he said.

And bet, she will read it. Heartland is like Hotel California: You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Ask pib. :innocent: ;D

Indeed and no offence meant. :notworthy:

It just didn't read right in my head and I checked with the better half. I guess it's a bit bit like learning the Queens English or High German.

No one actually speaks it in real life.

Korin, judging by the fact that you hardly ever use your german and have, if at all, little more than what you learnt at school, you are doing very well.
Fact!

Aye, sorry to sound like a moody git. Hardly the thread in which to do that, eh?

At any rate, Jummy, your English is better than mine sometimes

Bollox!
We are on page two of the thread, so substantial derailment is due. Otherwise fundamental laws of HL will be offended (Non-written ones).
And thanks for the kind compliment. I know it doesn't really fit at all times, but I do my best.
...most of the time.
...if there aren't any more interesting things demanding my attention
...or I am once again just leaving out bits that I can't get put rightly..

you could ask PIB and he would report that many many good people have left...a bit like the wheat and the chaff but more on that later

Surely it's redundant on each individual to explore whether they are the Wheatey-Chaff? Or the Chaffey-Wheat?
