Ye gods and little fishes, that was...erm...ok
pippo, you win. Now please stop, I've run out of counter measures and medication. At least for now anyway.
I couldn't listen past the first line.

She was doing fine 'til she opened her mouth.
Here's a fun one, watch it with no sound and keep an eye on the guitarist. (might also help if he could actually play, but from his expression I guess he really, really doesn't want to be there or doing Lucretia...that's the song, not the "singer"...if such is her name, given the name of the band that is...oh dear...help...and yes, she does have good legs...hmmm, nice legs, shame about the voice?...oh dear gods, there's got to be some alcohol around the house somewhere...)

Nevermind, too late now) guess what I found (yes, curiosity and amusement ganged up on better judgement)?
Lurectia's Daggers wrote:With a namesake derived from '80s cult band The Sisters of Mercy, Shakespeare/Livy-penned poetic biography, and 16th c. Borgia legend, New England musicians Lucretia's Daggers bring an arty touch to their "dark lyrical electro-rock for the apocalypse" since August 2001. As of March 2007, the Boston, Massachusetts-located band -- consisting of lyricist/vocalist Lucretia X. Machina, lead guitarist Elucid, and sonic-alchemist Futurist Tarquinius, has blended darkwave, synthpop, and futuristic metal with haunting female vocals. Combining passionate, confessional, introspective lyrics a la Fiona Apple and The Dresden Dolls; all the quirk and inventiveness of XTC and Brian Eno; mixed with the raw angst of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson; LD is gaining a cult following for its shows and first full-length album, Sad Flower Songs, released independently in February 2006.
But to be fair, their studio output is a damn sight better than their live sound...probably due to the liberal application of Autotune, where she sounds rather like Siouxise. I'm actually rather liking it (except for that murdering of Lucretia, that is...hmmm, maybe I'm feeling forgiving coz of her legs). But they have written a song about Peak Oil, which is a good thing (not peak oil, that's a Bad Thing, a very, very Bad Thing).
Right, I'm rambling...time for bed I think. G'nite.

OMG, someone else knows about peak oil!
And, sadly, I think *most* bands' studio output's superior to their live sound. Meh.

Yep. I'm extremely peak oil aware. Nice to find another person who is that isn't on one of the PO forums.
And yep, studio sound is generally better than live sound. The only band I can think of where it wasn't noticeable was FotN. But in regards Lucretia's Daggers, the difference is huge. Whether that's because of a lack of live experience and confidence, is anyone's guess.
