But this family of mine I have been missing and if you lot are all cheerful about xmas I'll sit in the corner and watch.

Has it been so quite around these parts then? :innocent:

Yupp: I forgot that the dutch celebrate on Dec. 6th, mainly. Sinte Claas. or so. ;D And there may even be some personal preferences that influence Debs here, right?

We do the same in Hungary. Dec 6th is Miklos' name day & we put chocolate santas secretly in places where people can find them, but they never know who they're from :D

That's the 5th of Dec. And it's Sinterklaas. I don't really like the man too much though.

Who here apart from me and James is going to Midnight Mass?

St. Aloysius, Glasgow does a sterling one (if I do say so myself as an alumni of the attached - and I do mean attached - educational establishment)... we're talking a carol service that leaves Songs Of Praise in the cold (not hard, over-harmonised trumpet laden crap that it is), cathedral-sized "chapel" , they even had a piece by Arvo Part the two years ago. Enough to give me a Catholic relapse for an hour and a half ;D

Not quite persuaded.

Do offer up a prayer for my eternal soul though, there's a dear.
