I'd be glad to help you - the trick is to realise that there's a fine line between sycophancy and p*ss-taking. A p*ss-take might be obvious to all but the person who's having the p*ss taken, and often requires an element of lilly-gilding and sarcasm to pull it off. Sycophancy must be accomplished without artifice - you must truly believe what you're saying, and more importantly be able to make the person to whom you are fawning believe that you believe it too. After all, what you're doing here is trying to achieve some advantage for yourself . If QB didn't believe that I believed that what I was saying was true, I would likely find myself cast into the Outer Darkness with the Morrissey fans, where there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

The first step is to think of what you would say about someone if you were asked to deliver a eulogy. Think of all this person's attributes, and how you would play them up. Then add 50% or so on top of that, and you're well on the road to a career of fawning toadyism.

That's right - keep it up, you're getting it! A little more effusive, explain why you bow at my feet, why there's no other feet you'd rather bow at, what incredible feats my feet have accomplished - you're a natural!

I bow at your feet because I'm overwhelmed by your power and I need to pay my tribute to the feet belonging to such a master, whose use of wise language and fine words knows no comparison to other.
These are feet who do not merely walk on earth, they bless it.

It's a well known fact that QB created The Sisters Of Mercy as he had no mates, I myself can't stand goffs or their bloody music but I also have no mates ;D
