Ok, I write a few lines despite that I spent the night like many others, trying and failing to get some sleep in and around the train station in Tienen.

Yesterday started like just an ordinary day, I was going to go to hiking in the french alps where I live for the moment, but the weather went bad so...at 13.30 I decided to test if the trains in France are as rocknroll as they say and if they could take me to the Sisters up in Belgium in no time - well, they are and they could! And how I don't regret that!!

Vision Thing was the opener, and Andrew almost shocked me by singing, not screaming/growling/mumbling out the lyrics, loud and clear, and it went on like that the rest of the concert. A really great concert with crystal-clear massive sound, Andrew singing loud, clear and powerful - nothing wrong with his voice, that's for sure, because I have never heard him sing like this. Almost hard to pick highlights, because all songs sounded so good, although I agree VT is not an ideal opener.

Chris is really, really a band member now and seems completely into it all the time. He went a bit too wild in the beginning of Temple and somehow ripped away the cable to his guitar (forgive me if it was another cable, I don't know these things) while Von stood in a waiting pose like -Are you gonna plug in that cable so we can start playing some day??

Good Things was so unexpected for me that I first thought it was a new song. Good version!

All-in-all a top gig, worth every cent and a night of lost sleep! And for those of you who trade and share recordings this must be luxuary goods with unusual setlist and the outstanding sound!

I will probably only see Sisters in Belgium in the future, for the setlists, the atmosphere and the people in general.

only a few things to say.. after i spend the entire night with an imence smile in my face..

"omfg!! best gig ever!!!"

sound was good, although indeed sometimes the docter did sound a bit out of his bass..
guitars were very good, some diff riffs on few songs..
his voice has never ben better.. he didn't howl...

smoke, well despite there was quite a bit of wind, they managed pertty good to keep smoke on stage.. but for me.. fewer smoke was ok.. this way we could actually see them play for a change..

highlights for me were ofcoarse "good things", which is one of my all time fav demo's.. and:
Flood II (briliant version)
giving ground (best version ever)
capricorn
ribbons

version of good things was extremely good.. bit slower than original and guitar was bit different..

personally, i had the impression that all the unreleased songs they played were much more refined than previous years.. as if they have been finetuning and cleaning up the songs a bit towards a finnishing touch..

the fact that they played several songs they haven't played in a long time makes me believe in :von: again
he's still with the game and imo, he was pretty active on stage and even rolled out a oneliner again.

before Flood I:
"here's something for you to row allong with"

too bad that the recording on my old nokia isn't that good..
got about 7 songs.. sounds worse than a crappy 80's bootlegg :lol
so hope some ppl have recording.. i know at least 3 ppl did record the gig.. and i realy hope they are willing to share.. :notworthy:

all hail the sister.. and thanx for the best show i ever saw

Perhaps, therein, you have the answer.
What Von really needed was some competition.
Last time I heard his voice in really top form was at M'era Luna 2000, when The Mission also happened to be playing.

Then again, who cares?
Getting a good show is what it's all about.

Yes - it was a brilliant gig:

- good lights (new lights for every song)
- very good sound (a little bit more bass would have been even prettier)
- good things (very good):D
- some new guitar riffs for some songs - except for summer (please play it like Pearson did) - they worked very well.
- in some songs the doctor was louder in the mix (flood I, giving ground) - because only one Pearson can play those songs brilliant
- very good voice
- good audience

All in all a very good gig - thanks for that :notworthy:

It was indeed a nice gig !!!

The sounds was horrible,.......... * burst into to tears *

So,.. when are we gonna kill the sound "specialist" ???

I got some nice "sepia" recordings, including "Good Things" and a part of "I didn't know I loved you ... "

wil drop those of later on Y.T.

Go to the HOSPITAL, and let them check your ears !!!!

The Sisters rule indeed !

but the microphone of Andrew, was soooooooo soft, the guitars where over blasting and Avalanche had more bass to reach the end of the country,.....

sorry but the fool who did the sounds SHOULD BE SHOT !!!
