Before I read your post James, I was going to say that I'm more of a Log man myself! I'm up for a Tunnocks excursion, although I wouldn't recommend Uddingston for pubs. The only ones I've been to there are Angels on the main street and the Rowan Tree somewhere up a hill off the main street. Angels was sort of young office crowd and, if I remember correctly, the Rowan Tree was an olde phart bar with concessionary lounge bar for the ladies. Judging by the others I've seen the outsides of, these bars were cosmopolitan by Uddingston standards at the time, but perhaps things have moved on in the last 15 yearsJames Blast wrote:n' ye kin stick yer Caramel Log up yir erse!Big Si wrote:Nae Wafers!boudicca wrote:I am planning a 25th birthday BLAW OOT weekend as you are already aware... Caramel Log anyone?Dark wrote:Ech, if you all want me, just gimme the ring.
You should come to McPhabbs sometime - they sell them behind the bar! I prefer the logs because they last longer. They have that coconut toffee coating (as opposed the the thin layer of chocolate on the wafers) that prolongs the chewing process. The teacakes are nice but they only take me about 5 seconds to finish. Maybe Tunnocks should start coating them in coconut as well.Dark wrote:I know it's a euphemism, but taken in the ACTUAL meanings, damned if I don't want one now.. or a tea cake, I haven't had one in ages.
