but didn't you used to hang around with "pete burns showed me what dresses to wear for certain occassions" hussey? :innocent: :P
Yes, but we did used to tell him in no uncertain terms that this behavior was not only unacceptable it was beyond disturbing. Once the World Crusade tour of 1986/87 ended he was sat down on a number of occasions and told to 'Man Up' stop flouncing around with bunches of flowers drinking p*ss warm Blue Nun and painting that ridiculous heart on his cheek. The hat and the Led Zeppelin t-shirts could stay but the rest of his look had to go.

And it did..job done. Much like Eldritch's hair, career, respect from the music buisness and creativity did a few moons later.

:)

I currently have black thumb nails, purple little fingernails, and the ones inbetween alternate between purple-above-black and black-above-purple.
Sometimes they're green, sometimes I put red sparkles over the black.

And I can walk through Glasgow and not get looked at twice, however much makeup I'm wearing, or what I'm wearing (skirts, corsets, whatever )

Yeah, I'm 18, but the advice is go for it. It was a little scary at first, but it soon becomes normal. 8)

Though a friend did take me into a Spar on my first night out in a skirt.. they'd been through similar stuff (though much deeper) like that before and completely forgot how it feels the first time to think everyone's looking... just try not to worry.

Anyone who is prepared to do that in Glasgow is proper hard, and I mean that without a shred of sarcasm :notworthy:

I still remember the grief I used to get ten years ago or so, when I used to swan around the city centre with a feather boa and a tiara on, and extremely big hair at a time when no-one else except Fat Bob was still doing it .... and that's being a girl... so I can only imagine the balls of steel it actually takes to grit your teeth and go out with a bit of facepaint in Maryhill  8)

 That would have been, yes. Then once I got into Siouxsie and (yes! would you believe!) The Cure, out came the Fat Bob hair
