It was indeed a very good concert, the girls seemed to be in a very good mood (I think I actually heard Eldritch saying "It's good to be home" at some time). I just wasn't very satisfied with the sound mix. Maybe it was where I was standing (wasn't up close to the front), or maybe it's the local acoustics (Peter Murphy's gig a few months earlier had the same problem), or maybe it was the girls live sound (I hope not). They supposedly are pursuing the "quieter but clearer" policy for their gigs since I don't know, the early 90's but I still felt the sound was a bit muddy... Von's voice could be a bit louder (and by the way, he still has a darn good voice, he just doesn't use it all the time) and the Doktor was hitting a bit too hard I felt.
But as said before, it was a great gig, everyone seemed to be enjoying it pretty much (including the band and the nurse), and I have to mention that the lights were incredible! Specially during Flood and Giving Ground.... fabulous!

And as much as I love bootlegs, there was an absurd amount of cellphones risen to the air as soon as the lights went off. Must be a bit frustrating for the ones standing on the stage...

yeah, maybe they'll play better concerts if they know that no one will see them except that 2-3-4 thousands people but... everyone wants piece of andrew

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing bootlegging, recording shows and putting them out for people who weren't there, not at all. It's just that, you're there, standing in front of ze favourite band of yours, just a few meters away, and watching the whole concert through a goddam 2-inch cellphone screen.

yeah, i know what you mean, but as you said, it's only good for those who wasn't there, not for people at the place.

@
Guedzilla - i feel your pain... especially when i
think i've found myself a nice, strategic location from which i have a clear view of the stage when a mobile phone emerges out of the blue like some loony jack-in-the-box and ruins it. that's when i feel like sticking that phone in a suitable orifice of its owner (which is, i guess, a fairly excusable reaction given the circumstances
)
but apart from that, mobile phonez rule!
(inconsistency ruuulz too!)

Then again, looking at the videos, the sound seemed pretty tight. Maybe it was really the place I was stading.

hey, eureka! there's solution if you don't want to see all these outstretched hands with cellphones and it's called: first row. kill 'em all but get there

oh yes, cell phones and YouTube ... heaven knows where we were without them ...
and just now, as I'm listening /watching the Buenos Aires concert ... I really wouldn't want to miss it ... and there are not soo very many cell phones but a great audience, rather, to be seen ...
