Not so simple. I have been married for nearly 25 years. I went to the show with my daughter and a bunch of her friends, hence "Throw away the underclasses." Meaning the college students I was with. Later on some of them who were 21, came to the bar, and we saw him there..._emma_ wrote:Then you should have either divorced quickly or just cheat on your husband.![]()

Now, what's the lens, and why Mercedes Benz, and what underclasses?![]()
The first part of the song, he is talking about himself. Life in a parallax is a distorted image, he see's everything from the vantage point of being on stage, so he did not notice my wedding ring 'til later at the bar. Life through a lens is obvious, not just sunglasses but also the media. Mercedes Benz is just the fact he is always going somewhere, but does live in Germany...For all I know, he may have a Mercedes Benz, but I think it is most likely a metaphor. So you see, "All signs say stay away," meaning the people I was with, and he saw my ring when I went to the bar to order drinks. He came quite close to me, but I "Froze senseless." It was one of the most humiliating moments of my life; and he writes a song about it...Just my luck.
