Held it briefly, set it free
There is a space above me

No-one reads the book of lies and
No-one looks into the void as anything but paranoid and
Anything that you would be will
Swerve and hurt eventually
And I'm ungood if I can't shout
Without the vowels or the label out
Escorted from my desk
Unable to unheed
From heroine to heroin
Cash out and head on in to
Burlesque and snake-oil charm
Flashing lights and fakir calm
Shine your knives and sinecures
Red-top wives and feckless poor
As ye sow so shall ye find your
Car is burning at the mine
Decent men and women form a line and dance in time - it's a far parade
The ghost of war, the painted whore, dial up one nine one four - it's a far parade
Distant men and women form a line and dance in time - it's a far parade
Everything will come and go, there is a thing that I don't know - it's a far parade
Distant men and women form a line and dance in time - far parade
Decent men and women form a line and dance in time - far parade
Distant men and women form a line and dance in time - far parade
I´ve had an great idea...

Am I the only one who sees that's it's changed slightly now? Or am I paranoid?

I think the proactive approach to posting the lyrics before the song being played is to hopefully remedy the fans spending hours on misinterpreting and hearing the lyrics.
Knowing how many times I've listened to the other songs to decipher the lyrics, I could not imagine having to decode the lyrics to Far Parade!

Great song
! The phone number of the Spahn Ranch.
But I don't quite see it in 'Far Parade' lyrics...
I think the song (or poem) title itself sounds too Jim Morrison for my taste, but the lyrics are pretty good.

this seems to be more about a personal war
"Decent men and women form a line and dance in time" - you can see those at every sisters gig in the first 3 rows

I associated it with history-"the march of time"-everyone of us does a little "dance in time".and the third stanza hurt.

I didn't think he'd be much of a Sabs fan. You live and learn.

I love it. It's got a decent note of
Floorshow, Anaconda, Valentine and
Amphetamine Logic
A typical - and presumably great - Sisters' song to come ...
Uah, and I look forward to the music the boys are going to do on it ...
However, my taste might not be everyone's ...
Far Parade...

Hello... just clued in to the site update and lyrics posted...
So there is still some life left in the old bastard yet!
This is bodes well for a possible new album... but I do not want to
get
too excited until I hear the official word... although I am still
rather excited every time I hear
Arms!
Here's hoping!

There's a lot to uncover here and I have learnt quite a bit in the five mins I've spent looking into this already (about 'fakir' for example). It's partly about fear again I guess. One for the Israelis? Von wore a Fear Factory hoody in Hamburg and I doubt it was because he's a big fan of the band.
I like 'heroine to heroin' (Afghanistan possibly?) and 'dial up 1914' (remember what happened in 1914?). 'Ungood' is from 1984 obviously. 'Decent men and women form a line and dance in time - it's a far parade' is brilliantly creepy.
Some things to think about, certainly.

Whether it’s wedding parties in Afghanistan or UN schools in Gaza,
It’s a Far Parade (sounds like Evaporate).
Or far as in space (e.g. Iraq) and time (1914).
Or far from the memory and consciousness of the decent men and women that is evaporating?
Or maybe I’m reading too much into a song I haven’t heard.

I can't say where I got this information, but I'm reliably informed that the music for Far Parade starts with a drum intro and is in the key of A Minor.
(c.f. "I'll be the one in black")
You heard it hear first!
