The long term 404 answers your question.

I don't think so, no. I think it's another example of an indirect answer. An arbitrary and opaque move really. A direct answer would come in the form of stating yes or no. Maybe is not direct, brutally honest or blunt. An old fake 404 error page that used to give directions to a secret gig location is not a direct answer. Unless one wishes to try to extract some further hidden meaning that probably doesn't exist or is only meant for an elite inner circle. In which case that would be another example of being glaringly indirect. So no, that's not a direct answer to the question of whether he wants to release anything. Seems more like a sarcastic response to people complaining that the record news hasn't been updated, because in a sense, now it has been. Lmao.sultan2075 wrote:The long term 404 answers your question.
Probably Never Land, since a) he always insisted that there was not another version anyway and b) SKOS has some laughably bad performances, and strikes me as a straight-up demo.robertzombie wrote:In the 'interview' Eldritch mentions the re-releases and said that one of the bonus tracks was a "fake", put together from various master tapes. I assume he's either referring to the early version of Some Kind Of Stranger, or the full length version of Never Land. Any idea which one is more likely?
Yup, it's likely Never Land he's on about.sultan2075 wrote:Probably Never Land, since a) he always insisted that there was not another version anywayrobertzombie wrote:In the 'interview' Eldritch mentions the re-releases and said that one of the bonus tracks was a "fake"
I think it's hilariousNadia81 wrote:I'm sorry ,Prescott.I don't mean to rain on your parade.I think your enthusiasm is wonderful.
I was never sure if I bought that or not...he obviously wrote and sang the lyrics not on the "fragment" version, and provided the explanation quoted in the reissue sleevenotes, so at one point at least during the song's gestation it was another version of "Never Land".copper wrote:

"There is no other version of 'Never Land' (apart from demo versions and "full" versions edited together by bootleg merchants). It's called 'Never Land (a fragment)' to reflect the way the song sounds: overheard and fondly detached. It's really not got so much to do with the (literal) fragmentation and moral issues of Goethe's Faust ...honest." Sissies FAQ
Listening to the full version now, and it's clear that that's utter bollocks, isn't it? There's no way that the full song is comped together by bootleggers--leaving aside the fact that it's quite evidently a complete mix, such a "full" version would have surfaced before now."There is no other version of 'Never Land' (apart from demo versions and "full" versions edited together by bootleg merchants). wrong. it's SKOS. I remember writing at the time that, previously (to the reissue), I only had a instrumental demo. So it's the instrumental demo with some other 'out-take' tagged on.copper wrote:Yup, it's likely Never Land he's on about.sultan2075 wrote:Probably Never Land, since a) he always insisted that there was not another version anywayrobertzombie wrote:In the 'interview' Eldritch mentions the re-releases and said that one of the bonus tracks was a "fake"

But Gary did say he was surprised that the SKOS demo had never been leaked.paint it black wrote:wrong. it's SKOS. Probably an editor rather than the journalist in question (who Von seemed to have no troubles with) to blame for that one.AdrenaChris wrote:Nice read, that. However I wasn't too impressed at the list of apparent soundalikes on the last page...not only are all of them complete bollocks, "gothic metal" is about the stupidest concept for a genre I've ever heard, whenever the two mix the consequences are always disastrous because nobody ever gets it right.
