FALAA - Cover symbol

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

According that book, this is the symbol of Charon planet, which is a kind of Pluto's moon.
Charon was also the ferryman who ferried the dead to the underworld (in Greek mythology).
I took a quick look on the net and I didn't find the symbol exactly.
But I found that:

Bar: noun

1) a long rod or rigid piece of wood, metal, or similar material, typically used as an obstruction, fastening, or weapon (often concealed down the sleeve of a leather jacket, especially while wandering the streets of Thatcherite northern cities)

2) a counter across which alcoholic drinks or refreshments are served (use of a Bar def. #1 is advisable when drinking in Thatcherite northern cities)

3) a barrier or restriction to an action or advance (when in Bar def. #2 it is usually advisable to check one has a clear path to the exit should Bar def. #1 not suffice)

Yes, what about that "bar"? ;)

Charon's a crescent pointing up (not down as in the SOM logo) with a circle above it. None of the astrological or astronomical symbols really resembles the one we're after.

But seeing that photo (which was taken in 2004 but there must be loads like it) and the mention of eclipse makes me wonder if the Walk away image is meant to depict a black planet...

Good find.

Also, the Black Planet idea has plenty to recommend it IMO.

Could also be a subliminal message by Von to show that The Huss is really a cry-baby.

For the sake of ambiguity he then turned it upside down...
