"For Your Lover Give Some Time" by Richard Hawley

Ballady, sincere, and a hint of cheekiness, what more could you want?

"Maybe I will drink a little less
Come home early and not complain about the death
And give you flowers from the graveyard now and then
And for my lover give some time"

If you want something classic ...

... Charles-Marie Widor ...

- March Pontificale from Symphony no. 1 op 13 no 1, or something from
- Symphony No. 5 in F minor op 42 no 1, or
- Mystique op 87 no 2 from Trois Nouvelles Pièces

... don't know, however, how it sounds, if you do not exactly have
Westminster Cathedral Organ at hand ...

ah, congratulations and all the best, btw ...

"I have a question."
"What's that?"
"An interrogative statement used to test knowledge, but that’s not important right now."

Thanks for the suggestions, sensible or otherwise. Can't put a price on comedy...

Being645: Charles-Marie Widor - sounds good will check these ones out. I did have a sensible idea myself last night: a piece entitled "at the castle gate" by Jean Sibelius, famously used as the theme music to Sky at Night here in the UK. Would be mildly amusing as we both do a bit of stargazing...

sisxbeforedawn: Ghostdance - I used to have that album, I quite liked it in a way though it wasn't what I expected.

Keep em' coming... :)

To be serious a moment...
I got married last christmas, and wanted something warm and classical(ish). We went for an artist called Hilary Rushmer who has an album called 'Celtic Sunrise'. She uses the harp and some orchestration and it has a simple beauty. It is supposed to represent the cycle of a day.
We came into the room with 'New Day A Dawning', (All About Eve's Marthas Harbour for the register) and left to 'Home Before The Storm.'

pm me for a link (cough!)

I would really recommend something simple like we did!

and yes... save the sisters for the evening... 8)
