Growing up is okay, as long as you don't lose the child in you...

Btw, I just noticed this is my 2000-est post ;D

That's some wonderful work hetfieldsmullet!

I'm still a learner at the art, although I've done a couple recently I might photograph and put on here at some point.

Any tips on getting the font just right?

I would say don't worry too much about the font, as long as it's close enough.

No, not really. Sorry.
With the Ramones back piece it was all worked out beforehand with a protractor. The angles are all exactly as they appear on any Ramones logoed item, I just took my time and made sure that everything was spot on first time.
As for the font lettering it really is just practice. I have a pedants eye for detail and if something's amiss it really bugs the f**k out of me. The letter S is an absolute bitch to get right once let alone in a word like SISTERS.

Post your pics, it's good to hear feedback, both positive and negative. It all helps in the end.

Well, as I said, I'm still learning the art, so not everything is as dead on as yours. This was done about 2 years ago now (Jesus how time flies).

This is the next one I did, about 6 months ago. First time dabbling in something other than traceable designs...

Bump.
Sorry but I felt the irresistible urge to shout from the roof tops about my new venture.
After arsing about for a number of years painting leather jackets and whatnot for people I've decided to give it a proper go.
Primarily I get a lot of "the yoof" asking for skateboard stuff but I turn my hand to just about anything tbh.

Anyway, my new rather shonky website is here www.oneoffdecks.co.uk and the facebook page is here http://www.facebook.com/pages/One-off-d ... 7910019118

Sorry if this violates any board rules or anything, please feel free to chastise me in the appropriate manner.

I sold my TOL jacket to someone in the US about 12 years ago. Was it to someone on here?

I've got a mate coming over sometime soon to do the site properly for me. It's just a bog standard template thingy at the mo, and far beyond anything I'm capable of understanding so best to leave it to the experts.
Anyhow, here's a couple of pics of the latest thing to get daubed
