What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
Er...I've tried hard to like Motorhead but have never convinced myself completely. Hope it doesn't make me a (very) bad person! Still, I did like Lemmy's quote about death in a recent interview: 'when you're in your twenties you think you're immortal; when you're in your thirties you hope you are; when you're in your forties you hope it doesn't hurt too much!' Sounds about right!

I'm not convinced - play can be quite slow about changing dates on their pre-orders...
Edit - Actually, I take that back, as it's also listed on HMV as the same date while other versions are January.

Didn't think the sound was too good @ Leeds, this seemed to be the case with the band too - Mikkey Dee never seemed satisfied and Phil and Lemmy regularly complained to the crew off stage :-(
That said, they soldiered on. Opener "We Are Motorhead" seemed a bit lost on the crowd, but soon came round when "Stay Clean" kicked in. "Metropolis" was "for the old ones - like me" according to Lemmy "Born To Raise Hell" was er, different. "Overkill" was - and always will be - stunning.
Only found out about the murder when I got back to the UK (flew to Spain the morning after the gig)

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
