way, way better than his previous band's stuff (my opinion of which is a matter of public record )

loving the variety of influences and textures on there, which stop them being yet another goth band that's a clone of one of the big 4
elements of the sisters & the march violets in their naturally, but there's a bit of joy division, cure (pornography era) and even early ultravox also in the mix. not to mention a bit of bowie on the last couple of songs.
but best of all, none of it sounds so derivative that it's painful to listen to. it's a fresh and interesting set of sounds. there's some groovy up-beat tunes, and a few slower big ballady songs which shake up the mood and keep it interesting
not a bad debut mini-album by any means... me likey
