Berlin Black + AMUS + The Mumbles - Leeds - Sat 8th Jan 2011

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

More accurately, gig was in the right landmass, I am on the wrong one.

Work got in the way of this one - shame :)

way, way better than his previous band's stuff (my opinion of which is a matter of public record :innocent: )

cool 8)
That's good to hear, especially as the show went down well with certain other parties of taste and influence.
and i've just bought their cd :D
and very nice it is too :von: :notworthy: :notworthy:

loving the variety of influences and textures on there, which stop them being yet another goth band that's a clone of one of the big 4

elements of the sisters & the march violets in their naturally, but there's a bit of joy division, cure (pornography era) and even early ultravox also in the mix. not to mention a bit of bowie on the last couple of songs.

but best of all, none of it sounds so derivative that it's painful to listen to. it's a fresh and interesting set of sounds. there's some groovy up-beat tunes, and a few slower big ballady songs which shake up the mood and keep it interesting :)

not a bad debut mini-album by any means... me likey :notworthy:
