One positive thing... all those idiots will be cheering their frozen butts off in Siberia and we have the whole countryside to ourselves to do something constructive.

The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

It certainly does leave a somewhat nasty taste in the mouth.
But FIFA being remarkably seedy is hardly news, and I wouldn't be surprised if England's bid getting slapped down despite it's technical merits is FIFA's way of telling other countries not to dig too deep.
The FA should, if it has any balls and truly believes it was given the shaft, sue for costs.

We were never going to get it - our facilities are too good. And FIFA hate England.

FIFA wanted to give it to China (that's where today's money is) but had to give it to Russia first. It was a foregone conclusion, get yer pants de-knotted English peeps.
Scotland will, of course, be joining Enger-land in the boycotting of this tournament.

it's a win-win situation militants and other clerks-jerks will extort bribe (their extremely stupid and embroiled visit legalize law), pigs-blister-kickers fans will see famous wild Russia, Ruskis gov will show rest of the world that Russia is civilized and economical great country. and people from hosts cities will earn some money.
Bit ungrateful of FIFA to hate us. We did invent the sport in the first place (and before any Scot starts up, yes it was, we even had haggis earlier than you!). And we rebuilt and funded FIFA itself after WW2.
Not just the English p.o'ed over it. The Aussies are spitting blood, as are the Americans and the Iberians. If what you've said is true, all those countries wasted millions on bids they could never have won, in which case legal action should be considered. Or even a breakaway world tournament. Best thing the F.A can do is refuse to send a team. Not like we'll be missing any thrilling performances from our team anyway.James Blast wrote:FIFA wanted to give it to China (that's where today's money is) but had to give it to Russia first.
